Men And Motors
Men & Motors was a men's lifestyle television channel in the UK. It was the last remaining station operated by the former Granada Sky Broadcasting joint venture, set up by Granada Television (now part of ITV plc) and satellite broadcaster British Sky Broadcasting in 1996. Men & Motors closed on 1 April 2010 to make way for ITV1 HD on Freesat, Sky Digital and Virgin Media. In February 2021, One Media iP relaunched a Men & Motors channel via Kapang, a television app, fronted by Shane Lynch and Torie Campbell. History Launch From its launch, Men & Motors was only available with subscription television services and for its first two year on air, it shared space with Granada Plus and was on air each night from 11pm until 2am. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. John Inverdale
John Inverdale (born 27 September 1957) is an English broadcaster who works for both the BBC and ITV. During his radio career, he has presented coverage of many major sporting events including the Olympic Games, Wimbledon, the Grand National and the FIFA World Cup. He was the main television presenter of ''Today at Wimbledon'' until 2014 and has hosted television coverage of sports programmes including ''Rugby Special'' and ''Grandstand''. Richard Hammond
Richard Mark Hammond (born 19 December 1969) is an English journalist, television presenter, mechanic, and writer. He is best known for co-hosting the BBC Two motoring programme ''Top Gear'' from 2002 until 2015 with Jeremy Clarkson and James May. Ginny Buckley
Virginia Louise Buckley (born 1 April 1968 in Rochdale) is a British journalist, radio and television presenter. Early life Buckley was born and brought up in Rochdale, England, before moving to Australia at the age of 18. Michael James Whale (born 13 May 1951) is an English radio personality, television presenter, podcast host and author. He gained initial prominence in the 1980s as the host of ''The James Whale Radio Show'' on Radio Aire in Leeds, which was simulcast on national television. Garry Bushell (born 13 May 1955) is an English newspaper columnist, rock music journalist, television presenter, author, musician and political activist. Mike Reid (actor)
Michael Reid (19 January 1940 – 29 July 2007) was an English comedian, actor, author and occasional television presenter. He played the role of Frank Butcher in the soap opera ''EastEnders'' and hosted the children's game show '' Runaround''. He was known for his gravelly voice and strong London accent. Catherine McQueen (born 11 August 1978 in Edinburgh), is a Scottish model, part-time actress, TV presenter and DJ.
