Melling railway station is the terminal station on the single track Melling Line in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. The single platform station serves the suburb of Melling. The station is served by Metlink's electric multiple unit trains. Belmont Railway Station, New Zealand
Belmont railway station was a station on the Hutt Valley Line section of the Wairarapa Line until 28 February 1954, when the Melling-Belmont section of the line on the western side of the Hutt Valley, New Zealand was closed and the through line to Upper Hutt and the Wairarapa rerouted through the centre of the valley. The station was opened on 15 December 1875, along with the Haywards railway station (now called Manor Park Railway Station). It was 10.22 miles from Wellington, and 54 feet in altitude. It served the suburb of Belmont, then a rural area. Queensgate Shopping Centre (formerly Westfield Queensgate) is a medium sized shopping centre in central Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand. The centre first opened in 1986, and underwent a large scale redevelopment that was completed in August 2006. The centre features over 130 speciality stores. Silverstream Bridge Railway Station
Silverstream Bridge railway station was a station on the Hutt Valley Line section of the Wairarapa Line in New Zealand from 1908 until 28 February 1954, when the Melling-Belmont section of the line and the first rail bridge at Silverstream was closed. It was replaced by the Silverstream railway station. The station was just across the old rail bridge, in the corner of the Silverstream Hospital grounds. The building was built on a slight curve. It was unusual, being extra long and open on three sides. The back wall had three double doors from the platform.
