The Melbourne Victory Player of the Season, also known as the Victory Medal, is an award presented to the Melbourne Victory coaching staff's player of the season. The first winner of the award was Kevin Muscat in 2006, who became the first player to win it twice in 2007. Since then, three other players have won the award more than once: Danny Allsopp (2007 and 2009), Archie Thompson (2008 and 2010) and Leigh Broxham Leigh Michael Broxham (born 13 January 1988) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Melbourne Victory in the A-League. Adama Traoré (footballer, Born 1990)
Adama Traoré (; born 3 February 1990) is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays for A-League club Western Sydney Wanderers as a left back. Traoré is a dual national, possessing both an Ivorian passport and an Australian passport. Club career First steps Traoré began his career in his native Ivory Coast. He played for Ecole de Football Yéo Martial. He later signed a three-year contract with former A-League club Gold Coast United, after impressing in trial matches. Gold Coast United invited him for a trial after having watched highlights of his performances at the 2007 Toulon Tournament. In 2010, Traore stated the move to the former A-League club Gold Coast United was a stepping stone in his ambitions of playing club football internationally. Season summary From the 2009–10 season, Greek gambling giant Intralot became the Melbourne Victory's new major sponsor to replace Samsung in a two-year deal valued at $2 million.
