The Melbourne Stars (WBBL) are an Australian women's Twenty20 cricket team based in St Kilda, Victoria, St Kilda, Victoria, Australia, Victoria. They are one of two teams from Melbourne to compete in the Women's Big Bash League, the other being the Melbourne Renegades (WBBL), Melbourne Renegades. To date, the Stars' best performance occurred in 2020–21 Melbourne Stars WBBL season, WBBL06 when they ended the regular season as minor premiers before ultimately finishing as runners-up. Melbourne Stars are an Australian Twenty20 franchise cricket team, based in Melbourne, Victoria that competes in Australia's Twenty20 competition, the Big Bash League. Hobart Hurricanes (WBBL)
The Hobart Hurricanes (WBBL) are a women's Twenty20 cricket team based in Bellerive, Tasmania. They compete in the Women's Big Bash League. History Formation One of eight founding WBBL teams, the Hobart Hurricanes are aligned with the men's team of the same name. At the official WBBL launch on 10 July 2015, Julie Hunter was unveiled as the team's first-ever player signing. Off Spin
Off spin is a type of spin bowling in cricket. A bowler who uses this technique is called an off spinner. Off spinners bowl with their right-arm and a finger spin action. Their normal delivery is called an off break, which spins from left to right (from the bowler's perspective) when the ball bounces on the pitch. In cricket, the boundary is the perimeter of a playing field. It is also the term given to a scoring shot where the ball is hit to, or beyond, that perimeter, which generally earns four or six runs for the batting team. 2016–17 Women's Big Bash League Season
The 2016–17 Women's Big Bash League season or WBBL, 02 was the second season of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), the semi-professional women's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The tournament ran from 10 December 2016 to 28 January 2017. The Sydney Sixers finished the round-robin stage of the tournament in first place and, despite a late-season injury to captain Ellyse Perry, went on to claim their maiden championship. Amy Ella Satterthwaite (born 7 October 1986) is a New Zealand former cricketer who played as an all-rounder, batting left-handed and bowling either right-arm medium or off break. Corinne Louise Hall (born 12 October 1987) is an Australian former cricketer who played as a right-handed batter and occasional right-arm off break bowler. Partnership (cricket)
A partnership in cricket refers to the collaboration between two batters and the runs they accumulate together, including extras. While both batters are involved in a partnership, only one is the striker at any given time. A partnership between two batters ends when one of them is dismissed, retires, or when the innings concludes. Not Out
In cricket, a batsman is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batsman is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress.
