Megan Myers (ice Hockey)
Megan Jane Myers (born January 24, 1992) is an American ice hockey player, currently affiliated with the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association (PWHPA). Playing career Growing up in Las Vegas, Myers began playing ice hockey at the age of eight, having previously played soccer. She played for the Anaheim Lady Ducks and Los Angeles Selects in her youth. From 2010 to 2014, she attended Utica College in Utica, New York. Across 104 NCAA Division III games with the Utica Pioneers, she scored 143 points, leading the team in scoring every single year. She was named to ECAC West All-Conference Teams in all four seasons, including First Team in 2012 and 2013, and was a CCM All-American in 2013. She was selected 47th overall by the Canadian Women's Hockey League's Boston Blades in the 2014 CWHL Draft. After graduating, she signed her first professional contract with the Blades. Captain (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, the captain is the player designated by a team as the only person authorized to speak with the game officials regarding rule interpretations when the captain is on the ice. At most levels of play each team must designate one captain and a number of alternate captains (usually two or three) who speak to the officials when the captain is on the bench. Captains wear a "C" on their sweaters, while alternate captains wear an "A". Officially captains have no other responsibility or authority, although they may, depending on the league or individual team, have various informal duties, such as participation in pre-game ceremonies or other events outside the game. Becker College
Becker College was a private college in Worcester, Massachusetts, Worcester and Leicester, Massachusetts. Becker College traced its history from the union of two Massachusetts educational institutions—one founded in 1784 and the other in 1887. The college closed at the end of the 2020–21 academic year. Arbor View High School
Arbor View High School is a high school in northwestern unincorporated Clark County, Nevada, United States that opened in 2005. It is part of the Clark County School District. Architecture Arbor View was built at a total cost of $54 million, with construction beginning in March 2004 and completion occurring in August 2005. At completion it formed the largest school in the district, with a campus area of and four buildings with a total of of floor space. 2020–21 PWHPA Season
The 2020–21 PWHPA season is the second season of the ongoing strike by the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association. Formed after the collapse of the CWHL in 2019, the organisation consists of over 150 women's ice hockey players sitting out current leagues in North America. For the 2020–21 season, the PWHPA is organised into five different hubs, each of which fields a roster that will compete in exhibition games across North America and in the Dream Gap Tour tournament against each other. The Boston College Eagles women's ice hockey team represent Boston College in the NCAA and participate in Hockey East. The Eagles are coached by former Olympic gold medallist Katie King-Crowley and play their home games at Conte Forum.
