Meet The Hockers
''Meet The Hockers'' is the Australian reality television series which premiered on 16 May 2017 until 4 July 2017 on 9Go!. It is produced and narrated by Kyle Sandilands and is similar in theme to Pawn Stars Australia. This observational series looks inside ACEBEN, Australia's oldest and largest pawnshop's, established in 1907 (now franchised in 8 locations) in Haymarket, New South Wales. The shop is run by Michael Chambers and his team Pauly, Jess, Jaz and Aaron, who every day encounter new customers trying to negotiate the best deal. 9Go! is an Australian free-to-air digital television multichannel, which was launched by the Nine Network on 9 August 2009, replacing Nine Guide. It is a youthful channel that offers a mix of comedy, reality, general entertainment, movies, animation and drama aimed at people between the ages of 2 to 18. History 2009: Origins and launch The general concept for GO! was revealed on 23 March 2009, with the Nine Network announcing their intention to start a standard-definition variety-based multichannel, launched midway through 2009. The channel's name and branding was first revealed as GO!99 on 14 April 2009 by TV Tonight, a blog dedicated to Australian television. The channel's final name was confirmed by the Nine Network via ''A Current Affair'' as GO! on 15 July 2009, as well as multi-coloured logo variations. Kyle Sandilands
Kyle Dalton Sandilands (born 10 June 1971) is an Australian radio host and television personality. He is currently the co-host, with Jackie O, of the weekday morning radio program ''The Kyle and Jackie O Show ''The Kyle and Jackie O Show'' is an Australian breakfast radio show hosted by Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O on KIIS 106.5 in Sydney. Pawn Stars Australia
''Pawn Stars Australia'' was the Australian adaptation of the American series of the same name. It premiered on 21 July 2015 on A&E. The Australian version is the third international spin-off after Pawn Stars UK and Pawn Stars South Africa. The series stars brothers Aaron and Ben Senes along with their childhood mate Shanon Folden, who own the well-known chain of pawn stores called ''Happy Hockers'' in Sydney. The series is directed by Martin Baker and produced by Leftfield Pictures, the same company that produces the American original. The complete first season DVD was scheduled to be released on 5 October 2016. TV Tonight is an Australian-based website which features reviews, news and programming information related to television in Australia as well as OzTAM ratings information. The site was started by television critic David Knox in 2007 after listeners of his radio programs asked him for information they had missed. Knox runs the site, publishing his interviews with Australian media actors, producers, directors and programmers. Knox regularly visits the sets of Australian television series and reviews television programs. Knox also served as television critic for Radio National's breakfast program from 2009 to 2015.
