''Medal of Honor'' is a 1999 first-person shooter video game, developed by DreamWorks Interactive and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation. It is the first installment in the ''Medal of Honor'' video game series. The gameplay features the combined arms warfare of World War II, as the player completes various missions for the Office of Strategic Services. The story was created by film director and producer Steven Spielberg, combining his deep interest in World War II with the inspiration of watching his son playing the game '' GoldenEye 007.'' Danger Close Games (formerly DreamWorks Interactive LLC and EA Los Angeles) was an American video game developer based in Los Angeles. Paul William Bucha (born August 1, 1943) is an American Vietnam War veteran and a recipient of the Medal of Honor. He was a foreign policy adviser to Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign. Early life and education Bucha was born on August 1, 1943, in Washington, D.C. He is of Croatian descent; his paternal grandfather immigrated to the United States from the Croatian town of Našice. He graduated from Ladue Horton Watkins High School in 1961.
