Mayra Gmach
Mayra de Fatima Gmach (born ) is a Brazilian group rhythmic gymnast. She represents her nation at international competitions. She competed at world championships, including at the 2014 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships. She has two sisters who are also rhythmic gymnasts: Morgana Gmach Morgana Regina Gmach (born June 17, 1994) is a Brazilian rhythmic gymnast. Camila Ferezin
Camila Ferezin (born 18 April 1977) is a former rhythmic gymnast and the current coach of the Brazilian national senior group. In her gymnast career, she was a member of the group that won Brazil's first Pan American Games gold medal in 1999, she also competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Career As a child Camila and her sister Alessandra, who would also be a member of the group at the 2000 Olympics, watched rhythmic gymnastics trainings while waiting for their parents to pick them up from school. Soon after she started training under Elizabeth Laffranchi in Londrina. In 1989 she was already national champion in groups. Her first major appearance came in 1991, when she was called up to compete in the Pan American Games in Havana, even though she was still competing in the junior division. The South American Gymnastics Confederation (CONSUGI) organizes South American Gymnastics Championships in different disciplines of gymnastics: men's and women's artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, as well as aerobic gymnastics. History The first edition of the South American Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in 1957 in Buenos Aires. Rhythmic Gymnast
Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform on a floor with an apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon. The sport combines elements of gymnastics, dance and calisthenics; gymnasts must be strong, flexible, agile, dexterous and coordinated. Rhythmic gymnastics is governed by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), which first recognized it as a sport in 1963. It became an Olympic sport in 1984, with an individual all-around event. The group all-around competition was added to the Olympics in 1996. At the international level, rhythmic gymnastics is a women-only sport. 2014 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships
The 2014 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, the 33rd edition, was held in İzmir, Turkey, from September 21 to 28, 2014 at the İzmir Halkapınar Sport Hall. Yana Kudryavtseva of the Russian Federation became the youngest rhythmic gymnast to win back-to-back individual all-around titles in the World Championships at 16 years old. Morgana Gmach
Morgana Regina Gmach (born June 17, 1994) is a Brazilian rhythmic gymnast. Gmach helped the Brazilian ladies secure a gold-medal triumph in the group all-around at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada, and subsequently competed as a member of the host nation's rhythmic gymnastics squad at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro by the following year. There, she and fellow gymnasts Emanuelle Lima, Jessica Maier, Gabrielle da Silva, and Francielly Pereira attained a total score of 32.649 on the combination of ribbons, hoops, and clubs for the ninth spot in the qualifying phase of the group all-around, narrowly missing out of the final roster by more than a single point.
