The mayor of Milan ( it, sindaco di Milano) is the first citizen and head of the municipal government of the city of Milan, Lombardy, Italy. The current office holder is Giuseppe Sala, a centre-left independent who has been in charge since 2016 Milan municipal election, 2016 leading a progressive alliance composed by the Democratic Party (Italy), Democratic Party, Green Europe and some Civic List (Italy), civic lists. Giuseppe Sala
Giuseppe "Beppe" Sala (born 28 May 1958) is an Italian manager and politician, currently mayor of Milan. He was CEO of Expo 2015 in Milan from 2010 to 2015. He became mayor of Milan in 2016, supported by the centre-left coalition, and he was confirmed for a second term in the 2021 municipal election. Panachage (, from French meaning "blend, mixture") is the name given to a procedure provided for in several open-list variants of the party-list proportional representation system. It gives voters more than one vote in the same ballot and allows them to distribute their votes between or among individual candidates from different party lists. Gabrio Casati (2 August 1798 – 13 November 1873) was an Italian politician, born in Milan. Political career During the Five Days of Milan he had a primary role and led the temporary government. He was prime minister of the Kingdom of Sardinia from 27 July to 15 August 1848, during the provisional annexation of Lombardy to Piedmont. Francis II, Holy Roman Emperor
Francis II (german: Franz II.; 12 February 1768 – 2 March 1835) was the last Holy Roman Emperor (from 1792 to 1806) and the founder and Emperor of the Austrian Empire, from 1804 to 1835. He assumed the title of Emperor of Austria in response to the coronation of Napoleon as Emperor of the French.
