Maute Group
The Maute group ( or ), also known as the Islamic State of Lanao, was a radical Islamist group composed of former Moro Islamic Liberation Front guerrillas and foreign fighters led by Omar Maute, the alleged founder of a ''Dawlah Islamiya'', or Islamic state, based in Lanao del Sur, Mindanao, Philippines. The group, which a Philippine Army brigade commander characterized as terrorist, had been conducting a protection racket in the remote settlements of Butig, Lanao del Sur. It had clashed on several occasions with Armed Forces of the Philippines troops, the most significant of which began in May 2017 and culminated in the Battle of Marawi. It is listed as a terrorist organization by Malaysia and New Zealand. Frederick I, Count Of Zollern
Frederick I, Count of Zollern (nicknamed ; died: before 1125), was often cited as a powerful Swabian Count and supporter of the imperial party of Henry V, Holy Roman Emperor. He most likely was the son of Burkhard I, and was married to Udilhild (or Udahild) of the House of Urach (died: 11. April, 1134), which house later became the Fürstenberg family. They had nine children; his eldest son was Frederick II. A younger son was Burkhard, who founded the Zollern-Hohenberg line (which became extinct in 1486). Frederick was the first reeve of the Swabian Alpirsbach Abbey, which had been founded by Adalbert of Zollern (from the short-lived Zollern-Haigerloch line) and other lords. The Zollern (later: Hohenzollern) dynasty based their rise to power on their loyalty to the ruling royal or imperial family. Abdullah Maute (died August 7, 2017) was a Moro militant who co-founded, along with his brother Omar Maute, a ''Dawlah Islamiyah'' (Islamic state) group in Mindanao, Philippines commonly known as the Maute group after their surname. On September 4, 2017, the Philippine military announced that Maute had been killed in an airstrike in August 7, 2017 during the Battle of Marawi. They cited ISIL sympathizers proclaiming his death as an act of martyrdom on the social media platform Telegram. He was referred to as "Sheik Al Miyahad Abu Al Hassan", an alias he was known to have used within the ISIL network. Matthias Maute
Matthias Maute (born 1963) is a virtuoso recorder player and composer. Maute was born in Ebingen, Germany and studied in Freiburg and Utrecht with Baldrick Deerenberg and Marion Verbruggen. In 1990 he won first prize in the soloist category of the competition Musica Antiqua Bruges, Belgium. He subsequently won the Dutch Impressariat Chamber Music Competition. He has played with several chamber music groups, including REBEL Baroque Orchestra, and has made a number of recordings. He is the artistic director of Ensemble Caprice, which includes his wife and duo partner, Sophie Lariviere, who plays the recorder and traverso flute.
