Mauro Riquicho
Mauro Alves Riquicho (born 7 April 1995) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a right-back. Club career Born in Cascais, Lisbon District of Mozambican descent, Riquicho joined Sporting CP's youth system at the age of 12. On 27 April 2013, still a junior, he made his professional debut with the B team, playing the full 90 minutes in a 1–1 away draw against C.D. Aves in the Segunda Liga. Riquicho scored his only goal in the competition on 11 December 2013, but in a 3–1 away loss to S.L. Benfica B. He went on to have a long spell on the sidelines, due to a fracture to his left fibula. International career Riquicho represented Portugal at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He played all matches in New Zealand, helping his country to reach the quarter-finals. Cascais () is a town and municipality in the Lisbon District of Portugal, located on the Portuguese Riviera. The municipality has a total of 214,158 inhabitants in an area of 97.40 km2. The 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup was the twentieth edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. The competition took place for the first time in New Zealand, the third time on Oceanian soil after Australia staged the 1981 and 1993 editions. Rádio Renascença, also known as 'RR' or just 'Renascença' (Renaissance in English), is a private, commercial radio station in Portugal, owned by various organizations within the Portuguese Catholic Church: among others, the Patriarchate of Lisbon. The 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying competition was a men's under-21 football competition that determined the 11 teams joining the automatically qualified hosts Poland in the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship tournament final. A total of 52 UEFA member national teams entered the qualifying competition, with Gibraltar as the only absentee. Players born on or after 1 January 1994 are eligible to participate. The 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship (also known as UEFA Under-21 Euro 2017) was the 21st edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, a biennial international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-21 national teams of Europe. The final tournament was hosted in Poland for the first time, after their bid was selected by the UEFA Executive Committee on 26 January 2015 in Nyon, Switzerland.
