Maurice Core
Maurice Core (born 22 June 1965) is British former boxer and now a boxing trainer. He won the British light-heavyweight title in 1992 and went on to fight for the European title. Career Born in Manchester, Core started boxing at the Champs Camp gym in Moss Side in 1982, where he was trained by Phil Martin. Core had 65 amateur fights before beginning his professional career. The ''Sporting Life'' was a British newspaper published from 1859 until 1998, best known for its coverage of horse racing and greyhound racing. Latterly it has continued as a multi-sports website. Priced at one penny, the ''Sporting Life'' initially appeared twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It became a daily newspaper in 1883, and in 1886 acquired its rival, ''Bell's Life in London''. In 1924 the newspaper sponsored the 1924 Women's Olympiad held at Stamford Bridge in London. Michael Alan Katsidis ( ; el, Μιχάλης Κατσίδης; born 15 August 1980) is an Australian former professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2017. He held the WBO interim lightweight title twice between 2007 and 2010, and challenged twice for the lineal lightweight title in 2008 and 2010. At the peak of his career in the late 2000s, Katsidis' crowd-pleasing and aggressive pressure fighting style often drew comparisons with the late Arturo Gatti. Adrian Carl Thompson (born 26 May 1964) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1988 to 2005. He held multiple championships at cruiserweight, including the WBO title between 1997 and 1999, and the IBO title twice between 2001 and 2005.
