Matías González (football Manager)
Nelson Matías González Huelmo (born 15 October 1980) is a Uruguayan Association football, football manager (association football), manager and former professional Association football, footballer. Career He had a playing career with Rocha F.C., Rocha, playing in the Uruguayan Primera División throughout 2006. In December 2014, after managing Plaza Congreso and Lavalleja Fútbol Club, Lavalleja, González was made manager of Rocha's academy. In November 2015, González became manager of Rocha's first-team. He replaced Fabio Castromán who was sacked following a 2–0 defeat to Canadian Soccer Club, Canadian. He made his managerial debut in a 4–3 Uruguayan Segunda División win over Club Oriental de Football, Oriental. He achieved four more wins but it wasn't enough as the club were relegated to the Uruguayan Segunda División Amateur. He subsequently left and was replaced by Neri Machado. Career statistics . Rocha () is the capital city of the Rocha Department in Uruguay. Location and geography The city is located on the intersection of Route 9 (Uruguay), Route 9 with Route 15, about northeast of San Carlos, Uruguay, San Carlos of Maldonado Department. The stream Arroyo Rocha flows along the west limits of the city. History It was founded in 1793 and had acquired the status of "Villa" (town) before the Independence of Uruguay. On 7 July 1880 it was made capital of the Department of Rocha by the Act of Ley Nº 1.474, while its status was elevated to "Ciudad" (city) on 10 January 1894 by the Act of Ley Nº 2.252. Segunda División Profesional is the second division of professional football in Uruguay, established in 1942. The league is sometimes referred to as ''Primera B''. Segunda División was first held in 1942 to replace amateur Divisional Intermedia, establishing a professional league for lower divisions in Uruguay.
