Matthew Lodge
Matthew Lodge (born 31 May 1995) is a rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Sydney Roosters in the NRL. He previously played for the Wests Tigers, Brisbane Broncos and New Zealand Warriors in the National Rugby League. Background Lodge was born in Sydney, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He played his junior rugby league for St. Patricks Blacktown before being signed by the Penrith Panthers. Western Sydney Stadium, commercially known as CommBank Stadium, is a multi-purpose rectangular stadium in Parramatta, within the Greater Western Sydney region, approximately west of Sydney CBD. The Junior Kiwis side represents New Zealand in the sport of rugby league. They are commonly known as the Junior Kiwis, after the native bird of that name. The Junior Kangaroos side represents Australia in the sport of rugby league. They are commonly known as the Junior Kangaroos, after the native marsupial of that name. Since 2019, they are an under-23 side, with players selected from the NRL. They are administered by the Australian Rugby League Commission. The New South Wales rugby league team has represented the Australian state of New South Wales in rugby league football since the sport's beginnings there in 1907. Also known as the Blues due to their sky blue jerseys, the team competes in the annual State of Origin series. This annual event is a series of three games competing for the State of Origin shield.
