Matthew Kennedy (born March 14, 1957) is an American writer, film historian, and anthropologist. Early life and education Matthew Kennedy was born in Redding, California, attended Shasta High School, and the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in theater arts in 1979. Moving to San Francisco, he studied and performed with the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company, before moving to New York to study with choreographer Merce Cunningham and perform with Jonathon Apples + Company. After serving on the executive staff of the California Arts Council, he pursued graduate studies in anthropology at the University of California, Davis, where he was awarded a Fulbright research grant. Graduating with a Masters of Arts in 1992, the following year he joined the faculty in anthropology at City College of San Francisco, where he taught until 2017. Matthew Kennedy (born 6 April 1997) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants from 2016 to 2017. Kennedy is from the small town of Collingullie, New South Wales. He participated in the Auskick program at Collingullie. He and Giants teammate Harry Perryman played together for most of their junior career. Perryman was recruited from Collingullie-Glenfield Park Football Club in the Riverina Football Netball League, where he played in consecutive senior premierships in 2014 and 2015. A member of the Giants' academy program, he was drafted by the Giants with the thirteenth selection in the 2015 AFL draft, matching a bid from . Matthew Kennedy is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played for the Newcastle Knights in the 2000s. He last played for the Western Suburbs Rosellas of the Newcastle Rugby League. Is a now a founding member and presidents secretary of the Newcastle inner west craft beer club. Playing career Kennedy made his first grade debut for Newcastle against the Sydney Roosters in round 2 of the 2003 NRL season. Matt Kennedy is a retired American soccer goalkeeper who played in the North American Soccer League, American Soccer League and Major Indoor Soccer League. In 1979, Kennedy signed with the Philadelphia Fury of the North American Soccer League, but saw no game time before being released. He then played for the Philadelphia Fever of the Major Indoor Soccer League from 1979 to 1981. In 1983, he played for the Carolina Lightnin' in the American Soccer League. He was the league's second leading goalkeeper. Astron-6 is a Canadian film production and directing company founded in 2007 by Adam Brooks and Jeremy Gillespie. The company later expanded to include Matt Kennedy, Conor Sweeney and Steven Kostanski, who are now equal partners in the company. Matthew Kennedy (born 1 November 1994) is a Northern Irish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen. Matthew Washington Kennedy (10 March 1921 – 5 June 2014) was an American classical pianist, professor, choral director, composer, and arranger of Negro Spirituals. He is widely known as the director of the historic Fisk Jubilee Singers of Nashville, Tennessee from 1957 to 1986. Early life and education Kennedy was born in Americus, Georgia, the fourth child of Royal Clement Kennedy and Mary Magdalene Dowdell. His father was a postal worker, and died of a heart attack when Matthew was 15 months old. Royal Clement's parents had been slaves on the Kennedy Plantation near Andersonville, Georgia.
