Match 4 (Washington's Lottery)
Match 4 is a numbers game offered by Washington's Lottery; it began on August 3, 2008. It is drawn nightly; games are $2 each. Rules For each $2 game, a player chooses 4 numbers from 1 through 24, and/or lets the terminal choose numbers. Tickets are good for up to 10 drawings. Players win $10,000 by matching all four numbers, $20 matching three numbers, or $2 matching two numbers. Washington's Lottery
Washington's Lottery is the lottery system for the U.S. state of Washington, run by the state government. Its games include Mega Millions, Powerball, Keno, Lotto, Hit 5, Match 4, Pick 3, and scratch games. The lottery was established in 1982, the bill (H.B. 1251) creating the lottery was passed by the state legislature (House on June 30, 1982 Senate on July 1, 1982) and signed by Governor John Spellman on July 16, 1982. Washington became the sixteenth state with a lottery and only the second in the West, joining Arizona. It was launched four months later with a one-dollar scratch ticket game titled "Pot O'Gold Instant Lottery," which began on November 15, 1982. What is now Pick 3 began in January 1984, and Lotto six months later in July, with a weekly drawing on Saturday, a second drawing on Wednesday was added on November 18, 1987, and a third on Monday on February 14, 2005. Progressive Jackpot
A progressive jackpot is a jackpot (a gambling grand prize or payout) which increases each time the game is played but the jackpot is ''not'' won. When the progressive jackpot is won, the jackpot for the next play is reset to a predetermined value, and resumes increasing under the same rule. Many slot machines and video poker machines feature a progressive jackpot. The jackpot increases by a small predetermined amount each time the game is played. Often multiple machines are pooled or linked together to form a larger progressive jackpot which grows more quickly because more non-winning plays can be counted toward it.
