Henri Lucien Jumelle (25 November 1866 in Dreux, Eure-et-Loir Department France – 6 December 1935 in Marseille, Bouches-du-Rhône Department, France) was a French botanist. The Arecaceae is a family of perennial flowering plants in the monocot order Arecales. Their growth form can be climbers, shrubs, tree-like and stemless plants, all commonly known as palms.
