Maslenica Bridge (D8)
The Maslenica Bridge ( hr, Most Maslenica, also known as hr, Maslenički most) is a deck arch bridge carrying the D8 state road spanning the Novsko Ždrilo strait of the Adriatic Sea approximately to the west of the settlement of Maslenica, Croatia and south of the D54 and D8 state roads junction. It was built in 2005 on a site of a similar bridge that was destroyed in 1991, during the Croatian War of Independence. Structure The bridge is long, measured between the abutments, comprising a steel arch supporting a reinforced concrete deck executed as a continuous girder across 17 spans: + 2 x + + 7 x + + 4 x + . It is located between the Maslenica and Posedarje interchanges of the A1 motorway. The bridge comprises a span reinforced concrete arch, with an arch rise of . The arch comprises a box cross section, a double cell of constant depth. The superstructure is continuous across 12 spans, consisting of prestressed girders made monolithic with the in situ cast deck slab and transverse girders. The bridge is maintained and operated by Croatian Motorways Ltd.
