"Masayume Chasing" is the 37th Japanese single by South Korean singer, songwriter, and dancer BoA. It was released on July 23, 2014, as one of the several singles for her eighth Japanese-language studio album, '' Who's Back?'' (2014) through Avex Trax. The CD single contains the B-side track "Fun", and was released in six physical editions: two CD+DVD editions, a CD-only edition, a CD-only Fairy Tail edition, and two limited USB editions only sold on BoA's official fan club shop. Commercially, "Masayume Chasing" performed modestly in Japan, peaking at number 15 on the weekly Oricon Singles Chart and number 27 on the ''Billboard'' Japan Hot 100. In South Korea, the song entered the Gaon international singles chart at number 54. ''Who's Back?'' is the eighth Japanese-language studio album (thirteenth overall) by South Korean singer BoA. It was released on September 3, 2014, by Avex Trax and compiles all of her singles released since her previous studio album ''Identity'' (2010). Background and development After her 2009 English language debut ''BoA'' (2009) and her seventh Japanese album ''Identity'' (2010), BoA focused on releasing music in South Korea. In 2010, BoA released ''Hurricane Venus'', her first Korean studio album in five years, followed by ''Only One'' (2012). In 2011, to celebrate 10 years since her Japanese debut, she released a video single, " Milestone". The Oricon Singles Chart is the Japanese music industry-standard singles popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Chart rankings are based on physical singles' sales. Until 2017, Oricon did not track download sales. In Japan, physical sales decreased sharply in the 2000s, while download sales hit three to four times the amount of single sales. In November 2017, Oricon introduced its first digital songs chart, separate from its main physical singles chart. In November 2018, Oricon launched a streaming chart, and introduced a combined singles chart that utilizes physical single sales, downloads, and streams.
