Beni Suef ( ar, محافظة بني سويف ') is one of the governorates of Egypt. It is situated in the center of the country. Overview This governorate's capital is the city of Beni Suef, located about 120 km south of Cairo on the west bank of the Nile River. The area is well known in Egypt for its cement factories. Aida El-Kashef is a feminist Egyptian filmmaker and actress. Her acting credits include ''Ship of Theseus'' and '' Walad w Bent''. She has also directed the short films ''A Tin Tale'' and ''Rhapsody in Autumn''. Ibrahim El Batout ( ar, إبراهيم البطوط) is an Egyptian filmmaker, based in Cairo, Egypt. Born in Port Said on 20 September 1963. He has worked as a director, producer and cameraman capturing stories mainly about human loss, suffering, and displacement since 1987. He has directed numerous documentaries for international TV channels, such as ZDF, TBS, and ARTE.
