	Al-Safa And Al-Marwah Safa and Marwa ( ar, ٱلصَّفَا وَٱلْمَرْوَة, Aṣ-Ṣafā wal-Marwah) are two small hills, connected to the larger Abu Qubais and Qaiqan mountains, respectively, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, now made part of the Masjid al-Haram. Muslims travel back and forth between them seven times in what is known as Sa'ee ( ar, سَعِي, lit=seeking/searching or walking, translit=sa'iy) ritual pilgrimages of '' Ḥajj'' and ''Umrah''. Muslims walk between the two mountains (called ''Sa'ee''), which they believe was made a ritual as a tribute to Hajar's search for water in the area when she ran out of provisions after Ibrahim left her in the valley upon Allah's command. The space between the two mountains in which the pilgrims walk is called ''al-Mas'aa''. 	Marwah Valley Marwah is a valley and sub-division in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir in India. Marwah is surrounded by the Warwan valley to the northwest, Ladakh and Zanskar to the east, Chatroo and Kishtwar to the south, and Anantnag in the west. The area is drained by river Marusudar, which is the largest tributary of Chenab. The valley is famous for its high-quality kidney beans (''Marwah Rajma''). The various tourist destinations of Marwah include Tatapani, Kishtwar National Park, Sarasnag, hajan park ,Mudaksar, Nun Kun, Kandinag, Fariabad Yordu Doomail and Cricket Stadium Yordu. 	Moriah Moriah ( Hebrew: , ''Mōrīyya''; Arabic: ﻣﺮﻭﻩ, ''Marwah'') is the name given to a mountainous region in the Book of Genesis, where the binding of Isaac by Abraham is said to have taken place. Jews identify the region mentioned in Genesis and the specific mountain in which the near-sacrifice is said to have occurred with "Mount Moriah", mentioned in the Book of Chronicles as the place where Solomon's Temple is said to have been built, and both these locations are also identified with the current Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The Samaritan Torah, on the other hand, transliterates the place mentioned for the binding of Isaac as Moreh, a name for the region near modern-day Nablus. It is believed by the Samaritans that the near-sacrifice actually took place on Mount Gerizim, near Nablus in the West Bank. 	Ved Marwah Ved Prakash Marwah (15 September 1934 – 5 June 2020) was an Indian police officer, who after retirement, served as governor of Manipur, Mizoram and Jharkhand. He died at Goa at the age of 87 after a three-week hospitalisation. Early life He was born and raised in Peshawar, North-West Frontier Province, British India. The son of Faqirchand Marwah, he immigrated to the Union of India after the Partition of India. He completed his education at St. Stephens College, where he served as President of the Alumni Association. He also completed a diploma in Public Administration from the University of Manchester, UK. Police service An officer of the Indian Police Service, Marwah has held assignments during his 36-year career, including Commissioner of Police (1985–88), Delhi; and Director General of the National Security Guard (1988–90).
