Martin Ledwith
Martin Ledwith is a Scottish actor and acting coach, best known for his work in theatre and television. Early life Ledwith was born in Motherwell, Lanarkshire, the fourth son of Peter Ledwith and Theresa Gregory. His first job in theatre was as a designer for Wiseguise Theatre, Glasgow. He designed productions at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh and the Tron Theatre, Glasgow. Ledwith moved to London to study acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). At RADA he studied Stanislavski technique with Doreen Cannon and voice with Robert Palmer. Stage career Ledwith's first role after leaving RADA was in the Royal Court Theatre, Royal Court production of "The Future Is Betamax" at the Ambassadors Theatre (London), Ambassadors Theatre in London's West End of London, West End. Motherwell
Motherwell ( sco, Mitherwall, gd, Tobar na Màthar) is a town and former burgh in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, south east of Glasgow. It has a population of around 32,120. Historically in the parish of Dalziel and part of Lanarkshire, Motherwell is the headquarters for North Lanarkshire Council. Geographically the River Clyde separates Motherwell from Hamilton to the west whereas the South Calder Water separates Motherwell from Carfin to the north-east and New Stevenston and Bellshill towards the north. Motherwell is also geographically attached to Wishaw and the two towns form a large urban area in North Lanarkshire, with both towns having similar populations and strong community ties. History A Roman road through central Scotland ran along Motherwell's side of the River Clyde, crossing the South Calder Water near Bothwellhaugh.
