Martin Lawlor
Martin Lawlor (1 November 1896 – 19 May 1979), also known as Martin Lalor, was an Irish hurler. Usually lining out as at corner-back, he was a member of the Kilkenny team that won the 1922 All-Ireland Championship. Lawlor hailed from a family that had a strong association with hurling. His close relatives, Martin and Jim Lalor, were renowned hurley makers and both won back-to-back All-Ireland medals in 1904 and 1905. Lawlor enjoyed a lengthy career with Tulla, however, he enjoyed little in terms of championship success. After being selected for the Kilkenny senior team in 1921, Lawlor was a regular member of the team for the subsequent five championship seasons. He won his first Leinster medal in 1922 before later winning his sole All-Ireland medal after Kilkenny's defeat of Tipperary in the final. Lawlor won further Leinster medals in 1923 and 1925. Tulla GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Tulla, County Clare, Ireland. It is affiliated with the Clare county board. All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition in Ireland, and has been contested every year except one since 1887. The final, currently held on the third Sunday in August, is the culmination of a series of games played during July and August, with the winning team receiving the Liam MacCarthy Cup. For the majority of its existence, the All-Ireland Championship has been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the championship. 1923 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The 1923 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 37th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament. The championship began on 20 May 1923 and ended on 14 September 1924. The championship was won by Galway who secured the title following a 7-3 to 4-5 defeat of Limerick in the All-Ireland final. Jim Lalor
James Lalor (16 October 1877 – 28 February 1956) was an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Kilkenny senior team. Born in Threecastles, County Kilkenny, Lalor first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty when made his senior debut in the 1897 championship. Lalor went on to play a key part for Kilkenny during the team's breakthrough and first golden age, and won two All-Ireland medals and six Leinster medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. At club level Lalor won two championship medals with Threecastles. Lalor's brother, Martin, was also an All-Ireland medallist with Kilkenny. Martin Lalor
Martin Lalor (20 December 1883 – 9 January 1957) was an Irish hurler. His championship career with the Kilkenny senior team lasted from 1897 until 1905. Lalor made his debut on the inter-county scene as a member of the Kilkenny senior team during the 1897 championship.
