	Martin Island (Antarctica) Martin Island is a small island in the northern part of Edward VIII Bay, Antarctica, just off the south shore of Edward VIII Plateau. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from aerial photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and called "Utvikgalten" (the outer bay boar). The island was remapped by the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE), and was renamed by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia in 1958 for A.R. 	Martin Islet, New South Wales Martin Islet () is a small island lying just off Red Point, Port Kembla in New South Wales, Australia. William Martin The Five Islands, of which Martin Islet is one, were named Martins Isles by Matthew Flinders and George Bass after Bass's navy servant William Martin. 	Byam Martin Island Byam Martin Island (''BEI-uhm'') is one of the Canadian arctic islands located on the northern side of the Viscount Melville Sound in the territory of Nunavut. It is separated from the eastern coast of Melville Island, to the west, by the Byam Martin Channel; and from Bathurst Island, to the northeast, by the Austin Channel.
