Martin Day (writer)
Martin Day (born 1968 in Yeovil) is a screenwriter and novelist best known for his work on various spin-offs related to the BBC Television series ''Doctor Who'', and many episodes of the soaps ''Fair City'', ''Doctors'' and ''Family Affairs''. Having worked previously at Bath Spa University, he is now visiting lecturer in creative writing at the University of Winchester and the Wessex regional representative of the Writers' Guild of Great Britain. Work Day's first published fiction was the novel '' The Menagerie'' in 1995, published by Virgin Publishing as part of their ''Doctor Who'' '' Missing Adventures'' series. Following the withdrawal of Virgin's licence to produce ''Doctor Who'' novels, Day moved to BBC Books, who published the novel ''The Devil Goblins from Neptune'' in 1997. Martin Day (fighter)
Martin Richard Day (born November 10, 1988) is a Japanese-born American mixed martial arts, mixed martial artist who competes in the Bantamweight (MMA), Bantamweight division. He formerly competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Background The son of missionaries, Martin was born in Nagoya, Japan while his parents were stationed there and his family moved to Hawaii when he was 9 months old. He has eight other siblings. He started training in Taekwondo when he was 13 and started competing around the same time. After starting boxing around the age of 15 and accumulated quite a bit of amateur kickboxing fights, he decided to try MMA. Currently, Day is a 4th degree Dan Black Belt in ITF Taekwondo. Martin Day (architect)
Martin Day was an Irish architect and builder active in early to mid-nineteenth-century County Wexford and County Waterford, in the southeast of Ireland. He was related to architects John Day (architect), John Day and William Day (architect), William Day, both of County Wexford, and connected with Richard Purcell (architect), Richard Purcell. He was notable in designing several Church of Ireland churches for the Board of First Fruits and the Irish Ecclesiastical Commissioners between around 1822 and 1849. He assisted Daniel Robertson (architect), Daniel Robertson at Ballinkeele, Johnstown Castle, Bloomfield and Castleboro House in County Wexford.
