Martha Ehlin
Martha Elisabeth Ehlin (29 August 1977 – 19 March 2016) was a Swedish sports teacher and founder of the organisation MOD – Mer organdonation. At the age of thirty she got a cancer diagnosis and was saved by an organ transplant in which she received five new organs. After this incident, Ehlin founded MOD – Mer organdonation together with Peter Carstedt. At the World Transplant Games 2011, an athletic competition for people with transplants, she won five gold medals when the competitions were held in Gothenburg. She became known to the Swedish audience when she hosted an episode of Sommar i P1 at Sveriges Radio on 17 July 2013. Cancer
Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. These contrast with benign tumors, which do not spread. Possible signs and symptoms include a lump, abnormal bleeding, prolonged cough, unexplained weight loss, and a change in bowel movements. While these symptoms may indicate cancer, they can also have other causes. Over 100 types of cancers affect humans. Tobacco use is the cause of about 22% of cancer deaths. Another 10% are due to obesity, poor diet, lack of physical activity or excessive drinking of alcohol. Other factors include certain infections, exposure to ionizing radiation, and environmental pollutants. ''Sommar i P1'' (''Summer on P1'') is one of the most popular shows on Swedish radio. It has been broadcast every summer since 29June 1959, originally as ''Sommar'' on P3 and since 1993 on P1. About Each 90-minute-long programme in the series – which is broadcast daily from Midsummer's day until the middle of August at 13:00 (a timeslot held since the first episode) and repeated in the late evening – is presented by a different host who talks about a topic of personal relevance and plays music of their own choosing. Being invited to host the show has been compared to receiving a knighthood in Sweden, and it has become the custom for each year's presenters to be featured in a group photograph, each wearing a floral crown known as a midsommarkrans as a mark of the "honour" bestowed upon them. Sveriges Radio AB (, "Sweden's Radio") is Sweden's national publicly funded radio broadcaster. TV4 (Sweden)
TV4 (''TV fyra'') is a Swedish free-to-air television network owned by TV4 AB, a subsidiary of the TV4 Media AB. It started broadcasting by satellite in 1990 and, since 1992, on terrestrial television. In 1994, TV4 became the largest channel and remained so for a number of years. The two channels of Sveriges Television (SVT) lost more and more viewers for a couple of years. After making schedule changes in 2001, SVT1 had practically the same numbers of viewers as TV4. From 2004 to 2019, the TV4 Group was a fully active member of the European Broadcasting Union. History TV4 was launched on 15 September 1990. The channel invested in an extensive news organisation and Swedish drama series. The premiere suffered from technical faults and the drama series weren't popular with critics.
