Robert Mark Taylor (born 22 February 1966 in Walsall), known as Mark Taylor, is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder in the Football League for Walsall, Sheffield Wednesday and Shrewsbury Town, and in non-league football for clubs including Hereford United, Nuneaton Borough, Halesowen Town, Redditch United, Bromsgrove Rovers and Rugby Town. Walsall (, or ; locally ) is a market town and administrative centre in the West Midlands (county), West Midlands County, England. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. Non-League football describes football leagues played outside the top leagues of a country. Usually, it describes leagues which are not fully professional. The term is primarily used for football in England, where it is specifically used to describe all football played at levels below those of the Premier League (20 clubs) and the three divisions of the English Football League (EFL; 72 clubs). Currently, a non-League team would be any club playing in the National League or below that level.
