Mark Solomon (Māori Leader)
Sir Mark Wiremu Solomon (born 1954) is a New Zealand Māori leader from the Ngāi Tahu and Ngāti Kurī (Kaikōura) iwi. He served as kaiwhakahaere (chairperson) of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, the tribal council of Ngāi Tahu, for approximately 18 years, from 1998 until December 2016. His departure as tribal chair followed his decision in April 2016 not to seek re-election as the tribal representative for Kaikoura. Solomon continues to act in various directorship roles including as chair of the Canterbury District Health Board. Personal life Solomon was born in Christchurch, New Zealand.I am Ngāi Tahu

Mark Solomon (rabbi)
Mark Solomon is a rabbi and chair of the Beit Din of Liberal Judaism in the UK. He is known for his LGBT-affirmative stance. Solomon left Orthodox Judaism after coming out as gay, and later joined the Union of Liberal and Progressive Synagogues (ULPS; later Liberal Judaism) in the UK. Alongside lesbian rabbi Elizabeth Tikvah Sarah, he co-led Shabbat services with the Jewish Gay and Lesbian Group, based in London. He later became the rabbi of Sukkat Shalom in Edinburgh, a Liberal Jewish congregation known for its LGBT-friendly stance, as well as rabbi of Neve Shalom Liberal Jewish community in Leicester. He remains rabbi of both communities. In 2014, Solomon was described as a "pioneer" of Rainbow Jews, an exhibition and film at the London School of Economics which was partly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and aimed to research, record and archive the historical experiences of LGBT Jews. Mark Salomon (born 1970) is an American singer best known as the lead singer of the hard rock bands Stavesacre and the Crucified. Other bands in which he has been a key member include the punk rock Outer Circle and rap-oriented Native Son and Neon Horse. In both Stavesacre and the Crucified, he served as primary lyricist as well. Biography Mark Salomon was born in 1970 in Reno, Nevada. However, around 1972, Salomon's mother moved to California, away from his father. Growing up around Fresno, California, he was exposed to hard rock and hardcore punk bands such as U2, Suicidal Tendencies, Minor Threat, and G.B.H. In 1984, Salomon discovered a local hardcore punk band known as K.G.B., by way of a friend attending a local youth group.
