Mark Allen Simpson (born February 4, 1961) is a former American professional basketball player. With 2.03 meters tall, he played in the forward position. College career Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Simpson played his college career in the Catawba College. Professional career He was selected in the seventh round with the 149th pick in the 1984 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets, but did not play in the NBA. He develops his career in Europe, his first season as a professional would be developed in the Israeli Ligat HaAl for Beitar Tel Aviv, in the Greek A National Category for PAOK, in the French Nationale 1 for Caen and then in Israel again for Beitar Tel Aviv. Mark Simpson (born March 18, 1966) is a retired American soccer goalkeeper and former coach who spent six seasons with D.C. United in Major League Soccer. He backstopped the team to the MLS Cup 1996. He also spent one season in the American Professional Soccer League, two in the USISL and six in the National Professional Soccer League. He earned one cap with the U.S. National Futsal Team in 1999. He was the Director of Soccer Operations for the planned North American Soccer League team Virginia Cavalry FC. Mark Simpson (born 26 September 1988) is a British composer and clarinettist from Liverpool. In 2006, he became notable for winning both the BBC Young Musician of the Year (as clarinettist) and the BBC Proms/Guardian Young Composer of the Year, making him the first and, to date, only person to win both competitions. Education Simpson attended King David High School, Liverpool and attended the Royal Northern College of Music junior department where he studied clarinet with Nicholas Cox and composition with Gary Carpenter. After a term at the Royal College of Music, Simpson attended St. Catherine's College, Oxford University, reading for a BA in music from 2008 to 2011. He also studied composition with Julian Anderson at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and studied clarinet privately with Mark van de Wiel. Mark Simpson, known by the pen name Jock, is a Scottish cartoonist, best known for his work in '' 2000 AD'', '' The Losers'', and more recently ''Batman'' and ''Wolverine''. He is also known for '' Wytches'' by Image Comics. Career Comics Jock began his professional career at British comics magazine '' 2000 AD'', on series including ''Judge Dredd'' and ''Lenny Zero'', the latter with writer Andy Diggle. It was with Diggle that he got his big break in the American comic book market at DC Comics and their Vertigo imprint, working on '' The Losers'' and '' Green Arrow: Year One''.
