Mark Egan (rugby Player)
Mark Egan (born 20 April 1966 in Athlone, County Westmeath) was an Irish rugby player who has played for Terenure College and Terenure College RFC. Egan graduated from Trinity College Dublin where he won three colours. He then went on to Oxford University (where he captained the Blues to a famous in the 1990 Varsity Match at Twickenham) and went from there to play rugby for Kobe Steel's team in Japan, now called Kobelco Steelers where he played in four consecutive championship winning sides until 1997. Athlone
Athlone (; ) is a town on the border of County Roscommon and County Westmeath, Ireland. It is located on the River Shannon near the southern shore of Lough Ree. It is the second most populous town in the Midlands Region with a population of 21,349 in the 2016 census. Pierre Villepreux
Pierre Villepreux (born 5 July 1943) is a former France, French rugby union player and coach. He played at full back and fly half for Stade Toulousain, Toulouse, and won 34 caps for France national rugby union team, France between 1967 and 1972. Villepreux was born in Arnac-Pompadour, Pompadour. While Villepreux had a distinguished career as a player, World Rugby had the following to say about him when he was inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame in 2018:However, it was as an innovative, free-thinking coach that Villepreux was revered throughout the rugby world. Terenure (), originally called ''Roundtown'', is an affluent, middle class suburb of Dublin in Ireland. It is located in the city's D6W postcode area. Patric Denis O'Brien (born 19 July 1959), commonly known as Paddy O'Brien, is a New Zealand international rugby union referee, and former head of the International Rugby Board's Referee Board. He was born in Southland, New Zealand. He played his rugby as a full back and wing for Southland at Under 18 and B level, as well as Sevens, between 1976 and 1984. Refereeing career O'Brien began refereeing with the Southland Referees Association in 1984 and combined that with 17 years in the New Zealand Police before turning professional in 1996 with his first game in the Super 12. He took charge of his first test match on 23 October 1994 with the Rugby World Cup qualifier between Hong Kong and South Korea in Kuala Lumpur, which Korea won 28–17. Syd Millar
John Sydney Millar (born 23 May 1934) is a former rugby union prop from Northern Ireland who played international rugby for Ireland and the British Lions. After retiring from playing rugby he became a rugby coach and later a rugby administrator. He became chairman of the Irish Rugby Union in 1995, and from 2003 until 2007 was the chairman of the International Rugby Board. Early life Syd Millar was born in Ballymena in Northern Ireland, the eldest of 6 children. He spent a period away as a sea cadet. Rugby Millar played at outside-half at school.
