Mark Dickson (footballer)
Mark Dickson (born 12 December 1981) is a former semi-professional footballer from Northern Ireland. He began his football career as a trainee with Northampton Town, for whom he made one first-team appearance in the Football League Trophy, before returning to his native country, where he played for Newry Town, Larne, Linfield, Crusaders and Donegal Celtic. He won the Irish League and Cup double in successive seasons with Linfield, and scored the winning goal for Crusaders in the 2008–09 Irish Cup Final. Early life and career Dickson was born in Belfast. As a schoolboy, he played for the County Antrim under-16 side that reached the quarter-finals of the 1997 Milk Cup, losing to eventual winners Middlesbrough F.C., and also represented Belfast Schools. At club level, he played for St Andrew's Boys, Dunboyne and Glentoran Youth before moving to England to join Northampton Town as a youth trainee. Mark Dickson (tennis)
Mark Dickson (born 8 December 1959) is a former professional tennis player. Playing college tennis at Clemson University, Dickson was selected as the 1982 ITCA Senior Player of the Year. Additionally, he was named All-American in singles in 1980, 1981 and 1982. In 1981 he was also named All-American in doubles. Dickson turned pro in 1982 after becoming the first three-time All-America at Clemson University from 1980 to 1982. As a tour pro, Dickson is best known for being a quarter-finalist in the 1983 US Open where he defeated Stefan Simonsson, Mel Purcell, Danie Visser and John Lloyd before losing to compatriot Bill Scanlon. He captured two grand prix tour titles, at Houston and Toulouse. Born in Tampa, Florida, Dickson graduated from Jesuit High School in 1978. Dickson has become one of the most influential United States anti-abortion movement, anti-abortion voices in the United States due to his successful campaigning for cities to ban abortion through local "sanctuary city" ordinances. Early life Dickson was brought up in Longview, Texas. As a child, Dickson would frequent the Gregg County Fair to visit his grandfather Glenn Canfield Jr., Glenn Canfield, Jr. at his booth for anti-abortion group Right To Life of East Texas. While at this booth Dickson was introduced to fetal models and would sometimes take a twelve-week fetal model home with him. After his grandfather's death of cancer in 2006, Dickson got involved with Right To Life of East Texas, later becoming a director with the organization.
