Mark Day (racing Driver)
Mark Day (born September 21, 1961) is an American former professional stock car racing driver, racing for a number of years in NASCAR's Busch and Southeast Series, as well as the ARCA Re/Max Series. In addition, his family used to own Day Enterprise Racing, which fielded entries in the Busch Series and ARCA Re/Max Series from 1989 to 2011. Racing career Craftsman Truck Series Day only made one career start in NASCAR's Truck Series, which came at Nashville Speedway USA (now known as the Nashville Fairgounds Speedway) in the No. 50 R&Z Motorsports truck. He started 23rd, but only managed 31st in the 34-car field after mechanical issues. Busch Series Day made his debut in 1997, running five races for his family's 31-W Insulation team. He made his debut in the inaugural race at Texas, starting 37th. A mid-race wreck claimed his car and gave him a finish of 36th. It did not get much better for Day. Mark Day (actor)
Mark Day (born October 4, 1978) is a Canadian actor and broadcaster from Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia. Career 1999–2004: Halifax and Toronto In the fall of 1999, Day moved to Halifax and made his feature film debut as a young fisherman in the 2000 film ''Deeply'' starring Kirsten Dunst. His other early film roles include '' Songs in Ordinary Time'' starring Sissy Spacek and Beau Bridges, '' A Glimpse of Hell'' starring James Caan, ''Julie Walking Home'' starring Miranda Otto and '' A Hole in One'' starring Meat Loaf and Michelle Williams (actress). While on the set of the TV movie, 'The Pilot's Wife', Day met actor Dax Ravina. The two formed a close friendship and collaborated with director Jay Dahl on two award-winning short films. Mark Day (born 22 February 1961) is a British Film editing, film editor. He won two BAFTA Award for Best Editing, BAFTA Awards for Best Editing for ''State of Play (TV serial), State of Play'' and ''Sex Traffic'', both directed by David Yates with whom Day also worked with on ''The Way We Live Now (2001 TV serial), The Way We Live Now'', ''The Young Visiters#Adaptations, The Young Visiters'' and ''The Girl in the Café''; the former two projects gained Day two Royal Television Society award nominations for Best Tape and Film Editing along with two BAFTA nominations and the latter project gained Day a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing. The sixth and final season of ''Canadian Idol'' is the sixth and final installation of the ''Idol'' series in Canada and premiered on June 3, 2008, on the CTV Television Network. It is again hosted by Ben Mulroney, with the addition of Jully Black as a special correspondent and general mentor to the contestants. Farley Flex, Jake Gold, Sass Jordan and Zack Werner all returned as judges. This season saw a number of major and minor show format changes in an effort to keep the franchise fresh and innovative.
