Mark Anthony Cooper
Mark Anthony Cooper (April 20, 1800 – March 17, 1885) was a United States Representative, businessman and lawyer from Georgia. His cousin was U.S. Representative Eugenius Aristides Nisbet. Early Life and Family Cooper was born near Powellton, Georgia, in Hancock County in 1800 and graduated from South Carolina College (now the University of South Carolina) in Columbia in 1819. After studying law and gaining admittance to the state bar in 1821, he practiced law in Eatonton, Georgia. He later moved to Columbus, Georgia.Cooper was first married to Evaline Flournoy, sometime around 1821, but she died only 3 months into their marriage. He then remarried in 1826 to Sophronia Randle. The two had eleven children, seven who survived infancy. Military & Political Careers In 1836, Cooper fought in the Second Seminole War and commanded a battalion of Georgia Volunteers. Mark Cooper is a senior research fellow for economic analysis at the Institute for Energy and the Environment at the Vermont Law School, and a frequent nuclear power industry commentator. Cooper holds a PhD from Yale University and is a former Yale University and Fulbright Fellow. He has provided expert testimony in over 250 cases for public interest clients before state and federal agencies, courts, and legislators in many jurisdictions in the U.S. and Canada. Cooper has published many books and articles on energy, telecommunications and high technology industries. Mark David Cooper (born 5 April 1967) is an English former footballer. He began his career with Cambridge United before joining Tottenham Hotspur in 1987. He failed to break into the Spurs first team and joined Gillingham in 1987 for a fee of £102,500. Mark Nicholas Cooper (born 18 December 1968) is an English former association football player and manager who played as a midfielder. He is currently the manager of Yeovil Town. Cooper followed his father Terry into the sport, starting his career with Bristol City in 1987. During a 22-year playing career he was at 17 clubs, including three on loan and two spells at Exeter City. He played 457 league games, during which he scored 115 goals, with his five-year spell at non-league Tamworth being his longest at any club. At two of his final three clubs, he also combined the role with being manager. He then went into management full-time, with clubs both outside and within the Football League. Mark Cooper (born 1950, Evansville, Indiana) is an American multimedia artist based in Boston, Massachusetts working in ceramics and sculptural installation as well as painting. He is best known for his large scale biomorphic fiberglass sculptures. Education Cooper received his Bachelor of Science at Indiana University Bloomington in 1972, and his Masters of Fine Arts, from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston at Tufts University in 1980, Boston, Massachusetts. Career & Work Cooper currently teaches ceramics at Boston College. Mark Leslie Smith Cooper is a New Zealand jurist. He was appointed a High Court judge in 2004, and a judge of the Court of Appeal in 2014. He has been president of the Court of Appeal since 26 April 2022. Biography Cooper is of Ngāti Māhanga descent, an iwi of Waikato Tainui. He received his tertiary education at the University of Auckland, graduating with Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Magister Juris (Dist) degrees in 1979. After university, he worked for Butler White & Hanna, where he became a partner in 1983; the law firm merged with Simpson Grierson where he remained a partner.
