Maritsa Municipality
Maritsa Municipality ( obshtina) is located in the Plovdiv Province, southern Bulgaria on the northern bank of the Maritsa River. It has 30,676 inhabitants and consists only of villages. The municipality has thriving industry with around €400 000 000 invested in the recent years. Its administrative center is Plovdiv but the city is not part of the municipality. Municipalities Of Bulgaria
The 28 provinces of Bulgaria are divided into 265 municipalities (община, ''obshtina''). Municipalities typically comprise multiple towns, villages and settlements and are governed by a mayor who is elected by popular majority vote for a four-year term, and a municipal council which is elected using proportional representation for a four-year term. Kostievo
Kostievo ( bg, Костиево) is a village in southern Bulgaria, located in Plovdiv Province, Maritsa Municipality. As of the June 2020 Bulgarian census, the village has a population count of 1788 people. Geography Kostievo is located at an elevation of 175 meters above sea level, in the Upper Thracian Plain. It is 3 kilometers North from Maritsa and 11 kilometers West from Plovdiv. The total land area of the village's region is 23,695 square kilometers. History According to Ottoman documents the village exists since 1576. Its former name used to be Kioste. Yasno Pole
Yasno Pole ( bg, Ясно поле) is a village in Southern Bulgaria, located in Plovdiv Province, Maritsa Municipality. As of the Bulgarian 2020 June census, the village had a population of 628 people. Geography Yasno Pole Village is located in the Upper Thracian Plain, 24 kilometers to the northeast of Plovdiv. The elevation above sea level of the village is 144 meters. The approximate land mass is 1080 hectares. History Yasno Pole was established in 1887 under the original name of "Chakure". The first written sources that mention the village date back to 1887 in a National newspaper. In 1934, the village was renamed from Chakure to Yasno Pole, the name it bears now. Voivodinovo
Voyvodinovo ( bg, Войводиново) is a village in the Plovdiv Province, southern Bulgaria. As of 2006 it has 2,018 inhabitants. It is one of the biggest villages in the Maritsa Municipality and is at 2 km to the east of Plovdiv. There are mineral waters in the village. Еconomy Due to its proximity to the second largest city in the country, the Trakiya motorway and the well-organised transport, Voyvodinovo attracts many investitors to build manufacturing plants here. Currently the total amount of the investments exceeds €70 000 000. The biggest investment is €30,000,000 for the largest electronics plant in the Balkans which was constructed in 2005 and produces microelectronics, DVDs and computers. Tsaratsovo
Тsaratsovo ( bg, Царацово) is a village in the Plovdiv Province, central Bulgaria. It is part of the Maritsa Municipality and it has 2,216 inhabitants. In 2007 a several million euro electronics plant was inaugurated in Tsaratsovo. It has a built-up area of 3,000 m² and employs 80 workers. In the same year a new bicycle-producing factory was opened near the village. It has an area of 34,000 m² of which the built-up area is 23,600 m². Trud, Bulgaria
Trud is a village in Southern Bulgaria, located in Maritsa Municipality, Plovdiv Province. The total population count as of the June 2020 Census is 4017 people. Geography Trud village is in the Upper Thracian Plain, 11 kilometers North from the city of Plovdiv. The average elevation of the village is 175 meters above sea level. Trilistnik
Trilistnik ( bg, Трилистник) is a village in southern Bulgaria, located in Maritsa Municipality, Plovdiv Province. The population of the village, as of June the 15th, 2020 is 836 people. Geography Trilistnik village is located in the Upper Thracian Plain, 15 kilometers southeast of Plovdiv, near the Stryama river and Trakia motorway. The total land area of the village is 1183,9 ha. History Trilistnik was established around 1890 with the initial name of Trifil. Until the Liberation of Bulgaria in 1878, the village was mainly inhabited by Turks. The name "Trifil" comes from the Turkish word for a clover. Rogosh
Rogosh ( bg, Рогош) is a village in southern Bulgaria, located in Maritsa Municipality, Plovdiv Province. As of 15th of June 2020, the village has a population count of 3109 people. Geography The village is located in the Upper Thracian Plain, 7 kilometers northeast of the city of Plovdiv, at an altitude of between 100 and 199 meters. The total area of the village is 2711,2 ha. Radinovo
Radinovo (Bulgarian: Радиново, IPA: radˈinovɔ) is a village in Maritsa Municipality, Plovdiv Province, Southern Bulgarian. Its name is sometimes seen as Radenovo (Bulgarian: Радeново).
