Mario Hernández is a Colombian fashion house dedicated to the manufacture of luxury leather accessories based in Bogotá D.C. It is named after its founder, Mario Hernandez (born 1941). History Mario Hernandez is an old entrepreneur, he started his clothing company in 1978 in Bogota, in a cheap district in the city, where it is still based. However, due to the economic climate in Colombia at the time, Hernandez was forced to borrow money. By 1979, he reached an agreement with his creditors, which left him with just 3 sewing machines to restart his business. Mario Hernandez (born 1953 in Oxnard, California) is an American writer, artist, and sometime publisher of comics. He is one of the Hernandez brothers, along with his younger brothers Gilbert and Jaime, with whom he co-created the acclaimed independent comic book '' Love and Rockets''. Biography As children, Mario (the eldest of six children) and his siblings were voracious comic readers, a habit encouraged by their mother, who had loved comics during her own childhood. Eventually, their enthusiasm for the medium led the youngsters to begin writing and drawing comics themselves for fun, collaborating with one another and sharing their own individual creations. As they grew older, Mario discovered girls and mostly abandoned his drawing hobby, but Jaime and Gilbert remained committed and prolific, accumulating hundreds of pages of increasingly sophisticated and personal work. Mario Fernando Hernández Bonilla (7 December 1966 – 22 November 2008) was a Liberal Party congressman for the Cortés Department in Honduras from January 2006 until his assassination. He was secretary for the legislative committee on Industry and Commerce and the legislative committee on Drug Trafficking and Security and was also a member of the legislative committee for Peace and Democracy. In addition he acted as alternative vice president (speaker) of Congress. He had a degree in business administration at University of San Pedro Sula. Death Hernández was shot dead on 22 November 2008 in San Pedro Sula along with two of his colleagues while on his way to a meeting with activists in the Cabañas neighbourhood.
