Marine Infantry Of Azerbaijan
The Marine Infantry Battalion ( az, Dəniz Piyada Taburu) is a naval infantry military unit of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It serves in combat operations an amphibious assault force of the Azerbaijani Navy. It is currently based in Zığ. It's polygon is on Wulf Island in the Bay of Baku. Overview Due to a need for extra troops on the front lines of the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, a Marine Regiment was formed from the personnel of the naval and ground units of the Naval Forces. The regiment was sent on 19 April 1994 to the front in order to prevent an enemy offensive in the Aghdam, returning on 25 July upon the successful completion of its combat mission. A United States Navy delegation visited Baku from 15 to 18 September 2009 to familiarize themselves with the service combat activities of the unit. Baku Victory Parade Of 2020
2020 Baku Victory Parade () was held on 10 December, in Azadliq Square, Baku, capital of Azerbaijan. It was held in honor of the Azerbaijani victory during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, officially described as the Patriotic War in Azerbaijan. The parade was held with 3,000 military servicemen who distinguished themselves during the war marched alongside military equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles and aircraft, as well as Armenian war trophies, and Turkish soldiers and officers, while navy vessels performed maneuvers in the nearby Bay of Baku, and jets and helicopters flew above the city. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, a key ally of Azerbaijan in the war, also attended the military parade as part of a state visit to Baku. First Nagorno-Karabakh War

The 641st Naval Special Operations Brigade ( az, 641-ci Xüsusi Dəniz Əməliyyatları Briqadası) is a special forces unit in the Azerbaijani Navy. It is currently based in Zığ, Baku, Zığ. The unit has been described as an 'impressive new maritime special forces unit. It's polygon is on Wulf Island in the Bay of Baku. The modern unit was established in 2001 with the cooperation of the Turkish Navy. 390th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade
The 390th Independent Guards Naval Infantry Brigade (; ), also known as the Military Unit 25744 is a marine brigade of the Kazakh Ground Forces. The brigade is the only naval infantry formation in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. History The brigade was formed in 1941 as the 892nd Infantry Regiment of the Red Army's 298th Rifle Division. When reforming the 80th Guards Training Motor Rifle Division, the brigade unit was created, being located offsite from the Otar Military Base. The brigade was formed on the basis of the 55th Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment, which relocated from the village of Gvardeisky in Guryev, from which all regalia and honorary titles were located. The Hero of the Patriotic War ( az, Vətən Müharibəsi Qəhrəmanı) is the highest title in Azerbaijan. The title was created by the law "Regulations on the title of "Hero of the Patriotic War" of the Republic of Azerbaijan" dated 26 November 2020 and the decree of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev dated 1 December 2020. It was established on the occasion of Azerbaijan being the victor in the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War. Its recipient is also awarded with the Hero of the Patriotic War Medal. Azadliq Square, Baku
Azadliq Square ( az, Azadlıq meydanı), in Baku is the biggest city-centre square in Azerbaijan. It lies next to Baku Boulevard. History The square, formerly named Lenin Square after Vladimir Lenin, was created in the 1960–70s, after construction of the Government House of Baku was finished in 1952. A monument to Lenin was erected in 1955. It was also formerly known as Stalin Square. Along with the square, Baku authorities constructed several buildings including the "Azerbaijan" and "Absheron" hotels encircling the square, which were later demolished and replaced with the Hilton Baku and the JW Marriott Absheron Baku Hotel. Qubadli District ( az, Qubadlı rayonu) is one of the 66 districts of Azerbaijan. It is located in the south-west of the country and belongs to the East Zangezur Economic Region. The district borders the districts of Lachin, Khojavend, Jabrayil, Zangilan, and the Syunik Province of Armenia. Its capital and largest city is Qubadli.
