Marigold Super Fly Championship
The , also known as the Marigold Super Flyweight Championship, is a women's professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the Dream Star Fighting Marigold promotion. As the name of the title suggests, it is meant for fast and high-flying wrestlers, weighing 55kg or less. History On April 15, 2024, Dream Star Fighting Marigold was established. On May 15, Marigold confirmed that the Marigold Super Flyweight Championship would be one of their titles. The belt design was first unveiled in June. On June 15, a four-way tournament was launched to determine the inaugural champion. On July 13, at Summer Destiny, Natsumi Showzuki became the inaugural champion by defeating Misa Matsui in the finals. better known by her ring name , and previously known as , is a Japanese professional wrestler currently signed to Dream Star Fighting Marigold, where she is the current and inaugural Marigold Super Fly Champion. Sumikawa is also known for her tenure with World Wonder Ring Stardom where she is a former Goddesses of Stardom Champion and Actwres girl'Z where she is a former AWG Single Champion. Professional wrestling career World Wonder Ring Stardom (2012–2013) Tokoda is best known for her two-year tenure with World Wonder Ring Stardom. She made her professional wrestling debut in the promotion under the ring name of "Natsumi Showzuki" on the second night of the ''Stardom Season 5 New Year Stars 2012'' from January 22, where she fell short to Io Shirai in singles competition. Dream Star Fighting Marigold (stylized as Dream Star★Fighting Marigold), referred to simply as in shorthand, is a Japanese ''joshi puroresu'' or women's professional wrestling professional wrestling promotion, promotion founded in April 2024. History Formation Marigold was founded by former All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling co-producer and World Wonder Ring Stardom (Stardom) promoter Rossy Ogawa after Ogawa was fired from Stardom. In February 2024, Ogawa was dismissed from Stardom after being accused by the promotion's management of "poaching talent" for what would be Marigold. He has denied this claim. Upon the announcement of the creation of the promotion, several active members of the Stardom and Actwres girl'Z (AWG) rosters defected to Marigold.
