Maria Da Luz Rosinha
Maria da Luz Gameiro Beja Ferreira Rosinha (born 13 May 1948) is a Portuguese politician. As a member of the Socialist Party (PS) she has been a deputy in the Portuguese Assembly of the Republic between 1995 and 1998 and from 2015 to the present. She has also been a member of the national secretariat of the PS and mayor of the municipality of her birthplace, Vila Franca de Xira. Early life Maria da Luz Rosinha was born on 13 May 1948 in Vila Franca de Xira, a municipality in the Lisbon District, in Portugal. At the age of 12, she joined the Young Christian Workers (''Juventude Operária Católica''), of which she would later become a director. Political life In 1975, Rosinha joined the Portuguese Socialist Party (PS) and became active in local politics in Vila Franca de Xira. Between 1995 and 1998 she served as a PS deputy in the Assembly of the Republic, representing Lisbon. The Order of Merit ( pt, Ordem do Mérito) is a Portuguese Honorific Order of civil merit intended to award those responsible for meritorious acts or services performed in the exercise of any functions, both in the public and the private sphere, which reveal self-sacrifice in favor of the community. The decorations are given by the President of Portugal, President of the Portuguese Republic, in his role as the Grand-Master of the Portuguese Honorific Orders. Alverca Do Ribatejo
Alverca do Ribatejo () is a city (''cidade'') and a former civil parish in the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Alverca do Ribatejo e Sobralinho. It covers an area of and had a population of 31,070, making it the largest city in the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira. It was promoted to city status in 1990. It is a city and a suburb near the Tagus River (rio Tejo), in the Lisbon metropolitan area. Alverca has been deeply connected with aviation since the early 20th century. A military air base was built there in 1918. 2022 Portuguese Legislative Election
Early legislative elections were held on 30 January 2022 in Portugal to elect members of the Assembly of the Republic to the 15th Legislature of the Third Portuguese Republic. All 230 seats to the Assembly of the Republic were up for election. On 27 October 2021, the budget proposed by the Socialist minority government was rejected by the Assembly of the Republic. Lisbon ( pt, Lisboa) is one of the 22 multi-member constituencies of the Assembly of the Republic, the national legislature of Portugal.
