Marco Aurélio de Oliveira (born 22 July 1972), commonly known as Marcão, is a Brazilian football manager and former player who played as a defensive midfielder. He is the current assistant manager of Fluminense. Playing career Marcão was born in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, and finished his formation with Bangu. He made his first team debut on 5 March 1989, starting in a 0–0 Campeonato Carioca home draw against Americano. After establishing himself as a starter for the club and subsequently serving loan stints at Criciúma, Vasco da Gama and Bragantino, Marcão joined Fluminense in 1999. At the latter club he was an immediate first-choice, appearing in 333 matches and scoring 12 goals during his first spell. In August 2005, Marcão moved abroad and joined Al-Ittihad Doha in Qatar. Petrópolis
Petrópolis (; ), also known as The Imperial City, is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in the Southeast Region, Brazil, Southeast Region of Brazil. It is located in the state of Rio de Janeiro (state), Rio de Janeiro, northeast of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Campeonato Carioca
The Campeonato Carioca (Carioca Championship), officially known as Campeonato Estadual do Rio de Janeiro (Port., Rio de Janeiro State Championship), was started in 1906 and is the annual football championship in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is under the authority of the FERJ or FFERJ (Football Federation of the State of Rio de Janeiro). The first season of the ''Campeonato Carioca'' was played in 1906. Campeonato Brasileiro Série C
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The teams that had been relegated from the Série B in the previous year were joined by teams qualified for each federation state. Abel Braga
Abel Carlos da Silva Braga (born 1 September 1952), known as Abel Braga, is a Brazilian former football coach and player. He played as a central defender during a professional career that started with Fluminense in 1968. He earned one cap for Brazil, and was on the 1978 FIFA World Cup squad. Since his retirement in 1985, he has managed a number of clubs in Brazil and Portugal, including three spells at Fluminense. In 2006, he won the Copa Libertadores and FIFA Club World Cup for Internacional. He has also managed French club Marseille, as well as Emirati club Al Jazira over two spells. Roger Machado Marques
Roger Machado Marques (born 25 April 1975), also known simply as Roger, is a Brazilian football manager and former player who played as a left back. Machado's playing career was mainly associated with Grêmio, a club he represented for ten years. After retiring with Fluminense in 2008, he later became a manager, being notably in charge of both his former sides. Playing career A Grêmio youth graduate, Porto Alegre-born Machado made his debut for the club in 1994. Odair Hellmann (born 22 January 1977) is a Brazilian football coach and former player who played as a defensive midfielder. He is the current head coach of Santos. Playing career Born in Salete, Santa Catarina, Odair was an Internacional youth graduate. Oswaldo de Oliveira Filho (born 5 December 1950), known as Oswaldo de Oliveira, is a Brazilian football manager. Manager career Born in Rio de Janeiro, Oswaldo de Oliveira became the first team coach for Corinthians in 1999 when Vanderlei Luxemburgo left the club to take the Brazil National Team manager role. Oliveira led the club to win the São Paulo State Championship and the Brazilian Série A that same year. In 2000, he made history by taking the first FIFA Club World Championship. Fernando Diniz Silva (born 27 March 1974), known as Fernando Diniz, is a Brazilian professional football coach and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the current head coach of Fluminense. Diniz is well known for his style of play and involving ball possession. Levir Culpi (born 28 February 1953) is a Brazilian professional football coach and former player who played as a centre-back. Playing career Known as Levir during his playing days, he was born in Curitiba, Paraná, and started his career with hometown club Coritiba, in 1972. Eduardo Alexandre Baptista (born 30 March 1970), is a Brazilian professional football coach who was most recently in charge of Novorizontino. Career Born in Campinas, São Paulo, Baptista started playing for Juventus as a central defender. However, due to his lack of temper on the field, he was advised to leave football by his father, Nelsinho.
