Marcus Robinson (American Football)
Marcus Antonio Robinson (born February 27, 1975) is an American former football player in the NFL, who played the position of wide receiver. He has played for the Chicago Bears, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Minnesota Vikings, as well as the Rhein Fire. He founded the Marcus Robinson Foundation for underprivileged children. Early life Robinson was born in Fort Valley, Georgia and attended Peach County High School in Fort Valley, where he starred in football and track. In football, he won All-America and All-State honors as a wide receiver, free safety, and punter. In track, he won regional titles on the 100 and 200 meter dashes. College career Robinson played wide receiver at the University of South Carolina. Professional career Robinson was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the 4th round (108th overall) of the 1997 NFL Draft. Marcus Robinson (artist)
Marcus Robinson is a photographer and filmmaker specialising in urban transformation and architecture. He is based in TriBeCa, Lower Manhattan in New York City, although he also occasionally works from his family home in Belfast. Robinson's art is created using different media including photography, film, music and painting. His work After graduating from Cambridge University in 1982 Robinson moved to Paris. He began to take black and white photographs of actors in his small flat in the Cour de Petites Ecuries. He later had exhibitions of his landscape photographs in cafés and galleries around Paris. His work on photographing urban landscapes was seen by a development company who in 1987 commissioned him to photograph a number of large construction projects around Paris. This was followed by work as a documentary film-maker in London where he produced a film called The Millennium Wheel. Marcus Robinson (prisoner)
Marcus Reymond Robinson (April 2, 1973 – June 9, 2022) was an African-American convicted and sentenced to death in Cumberland County Superior Court for the June 1991 death of Erik Tornblom. Robinson also was sentenced to 40 years in prison for robbery with a dangerous weapon, 10 years for larceny and five years for possessing a weapon of mass destruction. In April 2012, he successfully appealed against the death sentence under North Carolina's 2009 Racial Justice Act which allowed for a prisoner under sentence of death to appeal for the sentence to be commuted to life imprisonment if racism is proven to be a factor in the original trial. North Carolina Superior Court judge Gregory Weeks found that the Act was applicable in Robinson's case after his lawyers cited a study from Michigan State University indicating that qualified black jurors were systemically excluded from jury service, both generally in North Carolina and at Robinson's trial. Marcus Laurence "Marc" Robinson (born 22 September 1953) is a former Australian politician. He was a Labor member of the Australian Capital Territory House of Assembly for Fraser from 1979 to 1982.
