Marcel Desjardins
Marcel Desjardins (born May 19, 1966) is the former general manager for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He has also served as the General Manager for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for two seasons. He is a four time Grey Cup champion, having won his first three with the Alouettes and his fourth with the Redblacks in 2016. Desjardins is a graduate of the Sports Administration program at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. Administrative career Montreal Alouettes Desjardins first joined the Montreal Alouettes as the team's assistant director of football operations in 1999. He was promoted to the position of assistant general manager in 2002 and won his first Grey Cup championship as the Alouettes won the 90th Grey Cup that year. He spent four and a half seasons as the Alouettes' assistant GM where the team played in three Grey Cup games over that period. Burlington is a city in the Regional Municipality of Halton at the northwestern end of Lake Ontario in Ontario, Canada. Trevor Harris (born May 31, 1986) is an the United States, American professional Canadian football quarterback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2010. Harris has also played in the Arena Football League and United Football League (2009–2012), United Football League. The 2018 Calgary Stampeders season was the 61st season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 84th overall. The 106th Grey Cup (branded as the 106th Grey Cup presented by Shaw for sponsorship reasons) was the Canadian Football League (CFL) championship game for the 2018 season. It was played on November 25, 2018, between the Ottawa Redblacks and the Calgary Stampeders at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta. 2016 Calgary Stampeders Season
The 2016 Calgary Stampeders season was the 59th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 82nd overall. The Stampeders finished in 1st place in the West Division and finished with a 15–2–1 record. The Stampeders qualified for the playoffs for the 12th straight year and advanced to the Grey Cup game where they lost to the Ottawa Redblacks. The 2016 Ottawa Redblacks season was the third season for the team in the Canadian Football League. The Redblacks finished in 1st place in the East Division with an 8–9–1 record. This was the first time in CFL history that a team with a losing record finished first in their division. 103rd Grey Cup
The 103rd Grey Cup was a Canadian football game that was played on November 29, 2015 between the East Division champion Ottawa Redblacks and the West Division champion Edmonton Eskimos to decide the Canadian Football League (CFL) championship for the 2015 season. The game was played at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Shaw Communications was the presenting sponsor of the game; it was the first time in CFL history that the Grey Cup has been sponsored. The Eskimos won the contest 26–20 to claim their 14th Grey Cup championship in franchise history and first since 2005. The 2015 Ottawa Redblacks season was the second season for the team in the Canadian Football League. The Redblacks improved upon their unimpressive 2–16 record from 2014 after just five games when they collected their third win in week five against the Calgary Stampeders. The Redblacks are the third CFL franchise to play in the city of Ottawa, and the first since the suspension of the Renegades in 2006.
