Dr. Marc Edmund Jones (October 1, 1888 – March 5, 1980, age 91) was an American writer, screenwriter and astrologer. Early life Born October 1, 1888, 8:37 a.m. CST in St. Louis, Missouri, as a child Marc Edmund Jones was interested in complex patterns observable in the environment, and he gradually developed a distinctive personal system of thought that later produced notable perspectives on occultism and the cabalistic world-view in general. He grew up in Chicago in the social framework of a rather formal, late Victorian parental style. Other early influences were the Christian Science neighbors who moved next door and an aunt who introduced him to theosophy. In 1913 his lifelong interest in astrology was kindled, leading to further investigation into occult principles, and an interest in spiritualism that developed later on. Marc Jones (police Commissioner)
Marc Stuart Jones (born April 1972) is a British politician, and the current Police and Crime Commissioner for Lincolnshire, representing the Conservative Party. He was elected to the post on 5 May 2016, succeeding the previous incumbent, Alan Hardwick. Following his election Jones chose Stuart Tweedale as his deputy, but Lincolnshire's Police and Crime Panel did not endorse the appointment. Jones announced on 8 June 2016 that he would appoint Tweedale to the post despite the Panel's opposition. Jones was re-elected in 2021 with a 57.9% majority - securing 102,813 of the 177,528 votes cast.
