Manuel Vallarino
Manuel Vallarino de Iraola (17 November 1883 – 1 June 1919) was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for Madrid FC and Español de Madrid. He also served as the third president of New Foot-Ball Club, and he was the team's captain at the 1902 Copa de la Coronación. He was part of the historic Madrid team that played in the first-ever Copa del Rey in 1903. Playing career Sky/New FC He developed a deep interest in football in his youth, and soon enough he became one of the first football personalities in the capital. Vallarino was one of the enthusiastic footballers that joined and played for Sky Foot-Ball Club, the first club to ever exist in the capital. New Foot-Ball Club
The New Foot-Ball Club, especially known by its original name of (Society) Foot-ball Sky, was a Spanish association football, football club based in Madrid that was founded in 1897 by University of Cambridge, Cambridge and Oxford University graduates, and dissolved in 1903 due to internal differences and numerous splits in its 6-year history. In 1900, a conflict between Sky Football members caused some of them to leave and found a new club that would later become Real Madrid CF, Real Madrid, and in 1901, a new split within the club led to the creation of Club Español de Madrid, and finally, in January 1903, a new and definitive split led to the disappearance of the club, with New's best players founding Internacional Foot-ball Club. Bizcaya (football Team)
Bizcaya, also known as Bizcaya FC or Club Bizcaya (Vizcaya in Spanish) was an association football representative team from Bilbao, Spain, which participated in the 1902 Copa de la Coronación and the 1907 Copa del Rey, winning the former. 1904 Copa Del Rey
The Copa del Rey 1904 was the second staging of the Copa del Rey, the Spanish football cup competition. The competition was played in 1904 in Madrid. It was notable for its chaotic development and the fact that Athletic Bilbao won the trophy without playing a game. Details Originally, three teams were to participate, one for each region. The newly formed Madrid Football Federation, who organized the competition for the first time (the previous tournament was organized by Madrid CF), invited Athletic Bilbao representing Biscay and Espanyol of Barcelona representing Catalonia. Campeonato Regional Centro
The Campeonato Regional Centro (Spanish for Central Regional Championship) was an important annual association football competition for clubs based primarily in the Castile region of Spain, including the Community of Madrid, during the first half of the 20th century. Antonio Sánchez de Neyra Castro (16 March 1884 – Unknown) was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for Madrid FC, Club Español de Madrid and RCD Espanyol. Armando Giralt Iduate (23 March 1885 - 21 April 1948) was a Cuban-born Spanish footballer who played as a forward for Madrid FC, Club Español de Madrid and RCD Espanyol. Federico Revuelto
Federico Revuelto (born 1883) was a Guatemalan footballer who played for the Madrid Football Club from 1902 to 1912. Biography Federico Revuelto was born in Cuyotenango, Suchitepéquez, Guatemala in 1883. Revuelto initially started playing rugby football in England. He then switched to association football and joined the newly formed Madrid Football Club in 1902 at the age of 19, playing as a left-center forward. From 1903 to 1904, Revuelto served as the club's captain. He played in the 1903, 1905, 1906, 1907, and 1908 Copa del Rey finals, winning the latter four and scoring the first goal of the 1908 final. 1903 Copa Del Rey Final
The 1903 Copa del Rey Final was the first final of the Copa del Rey, the Spanish football cup competition. The match took place on 8 April 1903 at the Hipódromo, Madrid. The match was contested by Athletic Bilbao and Madrid FC. Madrid FC scored twice in the first half to lead the match 0–2 down at the break. However, a crucial harangue at the break by the Athletic Bilbao captain and president Juan Astorquia, inspired Athletic to pull off a great emotional comeback in the second half that turned the game around, thus lifting the trophy for the first time with a 3–2 victory. Athletic Bilbao claims this trophy to be their second in a row, although the Royal Spanish Football Federation doesn't recognize the previous tournament as official. Six Athletic players who played in this final had been proclaimed champions of the Coronation Cup in the previous year with Club Bizcaya.
