Manuel Torres Jiménez (born 5 January 1991) is a Spanish footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Polish club Wieczysta Kraków. He spent most of his professional career in Germany, starting out at Schalke 04's reserves. Club career Born in La Algaba, Province of Seville, Andalusia, Torres played youth football with local club Real Betis. His professional input in his homeland consisted of two Segunda División games as a substitute with Villarreal CF's B team, the first being on 27 August 2010 in a 3–0 away loss against Real Valladolid. In the summer of 2011, 20-year-old Torres moved to Germany and signed for FC Schalke 04, being assigned to the reserve side in Regionalliga West. Two years later, upon expiration of his two-year contract, he joined Karlsruher SC also in the country on a three-year deal. La Algaba
La Algaba is a Spanish municipality in the province of Seville, Andalusia, with a population of around 16,000. It belongs to the region of La Vega, 7 km from the provincial capital, Seville. The town dates back to the Byzantine Empire, and has many historical artifacts and significant churches. The river Guadalquivir features prominently in the history of La Algaba. 2011–12 Regionalliga
The 2011–12 Regionalliga season was the eighteenth season of the Regionalliga since its re-establishment after German reunification and the fourth as a fourth-level league within the German football league system. It was contested in three regional divisions. The season began on 8 August 2011 and ended on 20 May 2012. The champions of each division was promoted to the 2012–13 3. Liga. The 2010–11 Segunda División season (known as the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 80th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 27 August 2010, the regular league ended on 4 June 2011, and the season ended with the promotion play-off finals on 18 June 2011. The first goal of the season was scored by Javi Guerra, who scored a sixth-minute goal for Real Valladolid against Villarreal B in the early kick-off. III liga (Trzecia liga) is a Polish football league that sits in the fourth tier of the Polish football league system. Until the end of the 2007–08 season, III liga referred to a league at the third tier (now called II liga) but this was changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the top level league in Poland. Cypriot First Division
The Cypriot First Division ( el, Πρωτάθλημα Α΄ Κατηγορίας) is the top tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Since February 2016, it is sponsored by Cyta and is thus officially known as the Cyta Championship. The league is contested by 14 teams and runs from August to May, with the three lowest-placed teams being relegated to the Cypriot Second Division, and replaced by the top three teams in that division. Wildparkstadion, currently known as BBBank Wildpark for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium located in Karlsruhe, Germany. It is the home of the football club Karlsruher SC. It is located northeast of the Karlsruhe Palace (''Schloss'') and is part of the former deer park (''Wildpark'') of the Grand Dukes of Baden in the Hardtwald, hence the name. There have been football pitches at the location since 1922, and the stadium was built in 1955, with several major renovations since. A decision to rebuild the stadium was taken in 2006. The City of Karlsruhe and Karlsruher SC became engulfed in disputes about finances and finally abandoned the project in 2014.
