Manuel Rodríguez Ramos
Manuel Rodríguez Ramos (born January 1, 1908, date of death unknown) was a Puerto Rican writer and law professor. Early life and education He born on January 1, 1908, in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. His father died when he was barely a year old. In 1930 he became the third president of Phi Sigma Alpha fraternity. In 1931 he and y Manuel García Cabrera with the help of the UPR Law School Dean Rafael Martínez Álvarez founded the UPR Law Review. Also as a student he was the director of ''Athenea'' the UPR graduating class Yearbook in 1930 and in 1932. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico College of Law and later obtained his Master of Law from Tulane University Law School. Río Piedras, Puerto Rico
Río Piedras is a populous district of San Juan, and former town and municipality of Puerto Rico, which was merged with the municipality of San Juan in 1951. The district today is composed of various '' barrios'' (these are the primary legal divisions of municipalities in Puerto Rico) such as Pueblo and Universidad. The historic town was founded in 1714 as El Roble, it was given municipality rights in 1823, and since 1903 it has been the home of the University of Puerto Rico's main campus, earning the popular name of ''Ciudad Universitaria'' (similar to college town) today. Phi Sigma Alpha (), commonly known as La Sigma, is a Puerto Rican fraternities and sororities, Puerto Rican fraternity originally established as the Sigma Delta Alpha Fraternity (Sociedad de Amigos) on October 22, 1928, at the University of Puerto Rico by 12 students and a professor. David Helfeld
David M. Helfeld is the longest-serving dean of the University of Puerto Rico School of Law (UPR), he was a professor emeritus. He taught law until age 87. He also served as a close advisor to long-time UPR Chancellor and President Jaime Benítez. Helfeld, who does not practice law, serves as an arbitrator and a Special Master appointed by the federal district court in Puerto Rico regarding a mental health class action against the Government of Puerto Rico.
