Manu García (footballer, Born 1986)
Manuel "Manu" Alejandro García Sánchez (born 26 April 1986) is a Spanish professional footballer. Mainly a central midfielder, he can also play as a winger or a left-back. He spent the better part of his career with Alavés after signing in 2012, appearing in 308 competitive matches and winning the 2015–16 Segunda División. In La Liga, he totalled 144 games and eight goals over five seasons with the club. Club career Early career Born in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Álava, García finished his development at Real Sociedad, and made his senior debut with the reserves in the 2005–06 season, in the Segunda División B. In July 2008 he signed for Segunda División club SD Eibar, but was immediately loaned to Real Unión in the third tier. García featured regularly during his loan spell, scoring eight goals to help his team to return to division two after 44 years. Manuel "Manu" García Humanes (born 11 February 1991) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Real Murcia. Club career Born in Pedrera, Seville, Andalusia, García represented CD Pedrera, Écija Balompié and UD Marinaleda as a youth. He made his senior debut with the latter team on 27 September 2009, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 7–1 Tercera División home routing of Recreativo de Huelva B. In 2013 García joined Atarfe Industrial CF in the fourth division, after spells at Montilla CF and CD Pedrera in the regional leagues. He subsequently represented UD Maracena and CD El Ejido, achieving promotion to Segunda División B with the latter in 2016. Manuel "Manu" García Alonso (; born 2 January 1998) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Super League Greece club Aris. Club career Early career Born in Oviedo, Asturias, García joined Sporting de Gijón's youth setup in 2010, aged 12, from Astur CF. On 2 May 2013, he agreed to a move to Manchester City, which paid €250,000 for his services in January, shortly after his 16th birthday. Manchester City García was initially assigned to the club's under-18 squad. In May 2015, shortly after being promoted to the under-21s, he was called up to the main squad by manager Manuel Pellegrini ahead of the year's North America pre-season tour.
