Manipur Women's Cricket Team
The Manipur women's cricket team is a women's cricket team that represents the Indian state of Manipur. They were formed in 2008, competing in the 2008–09 Indian domestic system, before returning in the 2018–19 season, and have competed in the Women's Senior One Day Trophy and the Senior Women's T20 League ever since. History Manipur Women first played in the 2008–09 season, competing across first-class, one-day and T20 competitions. They finished sixth out of seven in their group in the first-class competition and fifth out of seven in the One Day Trophy, whilst results for the T20 competition are not recorded. The team permanently joined the full Indian domestic system ahead of the 2018–19 season, after an expansion of teams in Indian domestic cricket. The Women's Senior One Day Trophy, previously known as the Senior Women's One Day League, is a women's List A cricket tournament held in India. It began in the 2006–07 season, with 24 teams representing state cricket associations, whilst the most recent season, 2022–23, had 37 teams competing. Railways have won the tournament 14 times, including the first and most recent season, whilst Delhi and Bengal have won the tournament once apiece. 2020–21 Women's Senior One Day Trophy
The 2020–21 Women's Senior One Day Trophy was the 15th edition of the women's List A cricket competition in India. It took place from 11 March to 4 April 2021, with teams competing in round-robin divisions before a knockout stage. Railways won the tournament, their 12th title, beating Jharkhand in the final. Competition format The 37 teams competing in the tournament were divided into the Elite Group and the Plate Group, with the teams in the Elite Group further divided into Groups A, B, C, D and E. Manipur Cricket Team
The Manipur cricket team is a cricket team that represents the state of Manipur in Indian domestic competitions. In July 2018, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named the team as one of the nine new sides that would compete in domestic tournaments for the 2018–19 season, including the Ranji Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Ahead of the 2018–19 season, Shiv Sunder Das was appointed as the team's coach. In September 2018, they lost their opening fixture of the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, to Puducherry, by 8 wickets. The following day, they won their first fixture of the tournament, beating Sikkim by 10 wickets. It took place in November and December 2008, with 28 teams divided into five regional groups. Railways won the tournament, beating Maharashtra in the final, claiming their third title in three years.
