The Manipur women's football team is an Indian women's association football, football team representing Manipur in the Senior Women's National Football Championship. They have appeared in the Women's National Championship finals twenty five times, and have been the most successful state team by winning the championship for a record 21 times. Khuman Lampak Main Stadium
The Khuman Lampak Main Stadium is a multi-use stadium located in Imphal, Manipur, India. It is used mostly for football and athletics, and host matches of Manipur State League. The stadium holds 35,285 people and was built in 1999. This stadium lies inside the Khuman Lampak Sports Complex. The stadium's record attendance was set in a football match between NEROCA FC and Indian Arrows (2–1; 2017–18 I-League season), with 35,285 people in attendance (5 January 2018). The 2017–18 Senior Women's National Football Championship is the 23rd edition of the Senior Women's National Football Championship, the premier competition in India for women's teams representing regional and state football associations. Manipur are currently the defending champions, having defeated Railways in the final during the 2016–17 edition of the tournament. The 2011 National Games of India, also known as the ''34th National Games of India'' and informally as Jharkhand 2011 was the 34th edition of National Games of India, held from 12 February 2011 to 26 February 2011 in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Services (Services Sports Control Board – SSCB), which was a combined team of the Indian Armed Forces, retained the overall title with 70 gold medals. Services were presented with the Raja Bhalendra Trophy for the champions team. 2015 National Games Of India
The 2015 National Games of India, also known as the ''35th National Games of India'' and informally as Kerala 2015, was held from 31 January 2015 to 14 February 2015 across seven districts of Kerala, India. It was the second time that Kerala hosted the national games, the first being when it hosted the 27th National Games in 1987. The opening ceremony took place at Greenfield Stadium, on 31 January 2015 at 6.00 PM. Union Minister of Urban Development, Shri Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the opening ceremony. Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was selected as the goodwill ambassador for the games. Mascot Ammu, the Great Hornbill (the state bird of Kerala) was chosen as the mascot, reflecting a concern for conservation as this is a species facing extinction. Football At The National Games Of India
Football has been a sport at the National Games of India since the 1985 edition, while the Women's football tournament was introduced in the 1999 edition. The 1985 National Games was the first modern National Games to be held since its inception in 1924 and was also the first to be held on the lines of the Olympics. Punjab and West Bengal are currently the most successful states in the Men's event with 3 Gold Medals each while Manipur is the most successful in Women's event with 5 Gold Medals. The 2015–16 Senior Women's Football Championship was the 21st edition of Senior Women's National Football Championship, the women's state competition in Indian football.
