Manhunt (1959 TV Series)
''Manhunt'' is an American Television syndication, syndicated half-hour television crime drama starring Victor Jory as a San Diego police detective and Patrick McVey as a police reporter. Seventy-eight episodes were broadcast between April 15, 1959, and 1961. Filmed on location in San Diego, the series regularly showcased local sites such as the Pacific Highway district, Police Headquarters, the San Diego Zoo, the Star of India (ship), San Diego Bay, the Bali Hai Resort and the Hotel Del Coronado. A panorama of the cityscape was featured during the closing credits. Victor Jory
Victor Jory (November 23, 1902 – February 12, 1982) was a Canadian-American actor of stage, film, and television. He initially played romantic leads, but later was mostly cast in villainous or sinister roles, such as Oberon in ''A Midsummer Night's Dream'' (1935) and carpetbagger Jonas Wilkerson in ''Gone with the Wind'' (1939). From 1959 to 1961, he had a lead role in the 78-episode television police drama '' Manhunt''. He also recorded numerous stories for Peter Pan Records and was a guest star in dozens of television series as well as a supporting player in dozens of theatrical films, occasionally appearing as the leading man. John Ernest Crawford (March 26, 1946 – April 29, 2021) was an American actor and singer. He first performed before a national audience as a Mouseketeer. At age 12, Crawford rose to prominence playing Mark McCain in the series ''The Rifleman'', for which he was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Emmy Award at age 13. Crawford had a brief career as a recording artist in the 1950s and 1960s. He continued to act on television and in film as an adult.
