Igor Mandić (20 November 1939 – 13 March 2022) was a Croatian writer, literary critic, columnist and essayist. According to Croatian historian Slobodan Prosperov Novak, Mandić was the most important and the most versatile Croatian newspaper writer of the second half of the 20th century. Momčilo Mandić
Momčilo Mandić ( sr-cyr, Момчило Мандић; born 1 May 1954) is a Bosnian Serb political and business figure. He was justice minister in the government of the breakaway Republika Srpska during the Bosnian War before being reassigned to Belgrade as head of the Bosnian Serb territory's government bureau in Serbia. He was later acquitted of war crimes charges by a Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnian court but convicted of financial offices in a separate trial and issued a five-year prison sentence. In the 2016 Serbian parliamentary election, Mandić was elected to the National Assembly of Serbia on the electoral list of the far-right Serbian Radical Party. Leopold Mandić
Leopold Maria Mandić, OFMCap (also known as Leopold of Castelnuovo; 12 May 1866 – 30 July 1942) was a Croatian Capuchin friar and Catholic priest, who suffered from disabilities that would plague his speech and stature. He developed tremendous spiritual strength in spite of his disabilities and became extremely popular in his ministry as a confessor, often spending 12–15 hours in the confessional. Although Mandić wanted to be a missionary in Eastern Europe, he spent almost all his adult life in Italy, living in Padua from 1906 until his death. He also spent one year in an Italian prison during World War I, since he would not renounce his Croatian nationality. Dominik Mandić (2 December 1889 – 23 August 1973) was a Herzegovinian Croat Franciscan and historian. Biography Mandić was born in Lise near Široki Brijeg in Herzegovina. He completed his primary education in Široki Brijeg, where he attended the famous Franciscan high school, but graduated from the last two years in Mostar. He studied theology at Fribourg and obtained his PhD in church history. When he returned to Mostar, he became a teacher of religion in the Mostar state high school. The Franciscan Province of Herzegovina elected him as their head. Josip Mandić
Josip Mandić or Josef Mandić (4 April 1883 – Prague, 4 October 1959) was a lawyer and a composer of Croat descent. Biography Mandić was born on 4 April 1883 in Trieste, Austria-Hungary (today in Italy). He graduated law from the University of Vienna in 1906. He also attended the Vienna Conservatory, taught by Hermann Graedener and Robert Fuchs. Mandić returned to native Trieste, opened a law office there, and became involved in politics as a political ally of Dinko Trinajstić. During the World War I, he became a member of the Yugoslav Committee, an ad-hoc group of politicians and activists advocating unification of the South Slavs and dissolution of Austria-Hungary. Ante Mandić
Ante Mandić (2 June 1881 – 15 September 1959) was a lawyer and Croatian and Yugoslavian politician. During World War I, as a representative of the Yugoslav Committee in Saint Petersburg from 1915, he organised a Yugoslav volunteer detachment in Odessa. He moved to London in 1917 to work as the secretary of the central office of the Yugoslav Committee in London. Marko Mandić ( Croatian: Марко Мандић, 20 July 1939 – 29 June 1991) was a Croatian rower. Mandić was born in Goriš in 1939. He competed for Yugoslavia in the 1964 European Rowing Championships in Amsterdam in the eight competition where he won a bronze medal.
